i am just after gettin a royal python and i have noticed tht the temperature inside the tank is only 24 degrees i was wandering how you can make it hotter. i have a 15watt bulb inside which i was given with the tank and it does not seem to be doing the job please help

I recently ordered Innova dog and cat food for my pets. When they were delivered on the back of the food it says "Animal feeding tests using AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) procedures substantiate that Innova Food provides complete and balanced nutrition..."
I know Iams tests on animals also, in a "humane" way. But I do not like this at all. What do they do when they test on animals for food? I imagine animals kept in small cages all day long.

Hello. My 12 year old cat has been ill for a bit now. I kept thinking it was just a touch of something, ut it has been going on for a very long time now. Over the past couple weeks, she has gone from being a bit thin, to no appetite and not moving around much. I bought vitamin gel for the pet store, and was hoping it was just a mild "flu" of sorts. I now am very concerned. She just lays and is having a hard time breathing. I do not have a lot of money for a vet, and the idea of putting her to sleep is very traumatic to me. Possibly someone may have an idea of something I could try to see if it may work to help bring her back to wellness? Thank you. Nate

I like lots of people thought that a cute puppy dog in a shopping mall window or pet store was just that, cute innocent free and ready to take home with everyone happy and no problems at all.

But what I didn't know was how that beautiful puppy came to be there in the first place.

As with so many things in life, things are often deliberately hidden or tried to be kept as quiet as possible as so not to get people to interfere with injustices perpetrated against both animals and people. Puppy Mills are one of those things.

Puppy Mills are facilities where dogs are specifically used to breed 'puppies' for that pet shop window where thy look so cute innocent and sweet, which they very much are. As pointed out and shown in this video, dogs are completely and unforgivably subjected to horrible conditions, unacceptable living conditions, and just horrific and disgusting treatment to keep pet store owners and individual dog sellers in business.

Just as Charlize says in this video, for every dog purchased from a pet store that has unfortunately and most likely come from a Puppy Mill, there's a beautiful dog just waiting with time desperately ticking away in an a adoption centre; who all it wants, is just to be loved by a kind caring family and be a loyal friend for life.

So please think twice about purchasing a new puppy dog from a pet store, and please consider adoption as the #1 option for a new wonderful beautiful and awesome dog for you family; and together we can help end these unforgivable crimes and make the world a better place for both animals and people.

I just noticed that on the sides of my Betta's head there is these white spots. I just got my Betta about 2-3 weeks ago. He lives in a 1.5 gallon tank with a light. This is my first fish, although I've done research, I still can't find out whats wrong with him. Any help would be great!

Most pet store puppies come from puppy mills. That is why you should never buy a puppy from a pet store, or off the internet from someone you have never met. THis is the Least graffic video I could find about puppy mills. That is how bad Puppy Mills are:

I've had to for a month now... and it's always been a really perky male betta. Now all of a sudden he's not really moving much and won't eat. What I am doing wrong? I've read a few guides, do you really think it's the water temperature like this site says?

i was wondering if any one knew what was going on w/ my cat? hes acting normal, eating puring playing...ect.. but he keeps licking his chops as if he got into penut butter?.... we dont have any so its not that... but as hes doing this a little foam comes out... yes im taking him in but my husband is at work right now.. just wondering if any one experienced this.. it seems as tho its getting better but hes still smakin his chops?.... any help would be great!

I'm turning 13, and my mom promised me that she would let me get a pet. But it has to be a small one, like a hamster or gerbil. I don't really know which one to pick. I want a FRIENDLY pet that are easy to befriend.
Here are my choices:

Hamster (I've never had one before but they're bigger than mice and gerbils so I'm not too afraid to hurt them while I hold them.)

Gerbil (I've had one before, but I don't really think I should get one again because it bit me a lot, and some how got out of its cage and we couldn't find it anywhere :] )

Rabbit (I haven't really talked to my mom about this though. She says that they stink and I don't know if she would let me get one even if it was my bday)

Ferret (I've heard that ferrets are expensive and have an odor problem)

So if you think theres something else I should get please suggest it also.

I have a fairly small fish tank (fresh water) with all the filters etc.. I had 2 fish in it, but one ate the other- and i got rid of that one. So now i dont have any. After i got rid of them i noticed a very dark green turquoise something growing in it. it is completely covering the rocks and plants inside and now almost completely covering the sides of the tank..what is it? Some kind of algae im sure. It a very pretty color, but what can iuse to keep it away? It would probly help to put fish in it! But will it come back when i have fish? It grew VERY rapidly.

My cat is approx. 7 years old, is male and neutered. Lately we've been noticing weird things going on with him. His pupils change shape, one will be quite large the other quite small. He can't stand being touched anymore. When you pet his back he starts to twitch and tries to nip at you. He has a hard time laying down and getting back up and you can tell its quite uncomfortable for him doing this anymore. I'm not sure what to do and I just CANNOT afford a vet right now. Any advice what it might be?

We just moved into a house and I found out that we have poison ivy and probably poison oak in the backyard where my dogs run around. Now one of my dogs is itching his butt and it looks really bad. I thought at first it may have been allergies but I gave him some medicine and it still doesn't help. I've already made an appointment for him to go to the vets this Friday so it seems like he is suffering and I want him to feel better. What can I do or give him to make him better? Is there anything for dogs that cures poison ivy (or oak)? Thanks!
