i am just after gettin a royal python and i have noticed tht the temperature inside the tank is only 24 degrees i was wandering how you can make it hotter. i have a 15watt bulb inside which i was given with the tank and it does not seem to be doing the job please help

I'm assuming your temperatures are celsius. What you will probably want to invest in is an under-tank heater. There are several brands available. They stick to the bottom(or side) of your glass terrarium and warm that side of the enclosure. You may also want to invest in a rheostat or thermostat to control the temperature a bit more.

snakes would not appreciate heating from below! why dont you just remove the bulb and replace it by more watts bulb of the same size - no big trouble, no big cost. if you are not sure, take the old bulb with you to the store. but i believe that you can use just ordinary bulb for heating of your terrarium. even if it is a small size bulb you can have them at 25 or 40 W, i use them too in terrariums
