my little cousin took of the readyings of my fish tank and i think he threw it away how can i check what the temperature is

There is no other way to check the temperature without a thermometer. Don't get the floating ones, get the ones that stick to the side.

Your tongue is the best natural thermometer. Stick it in for 10 minutes and you should know the temperature within 2 degrees.

Sorry to say you can't. You'll need a new thermometer. I would suggest you get a floting style and keep it out of his reach unless you are using it in the tank.
