I just noticed that on the sides of my Betta's head there is these white spots. I just got my Betta about 2-3 weeks ago. He lives in a 1.5 gallon tank with a light. This is my first fish, although I've done research, I still can't find out whats wrong with him. Any help would be great!

Thanks.

The spots are a silvery/white color, and the spots are on the sides of my Betta's head, he swims around a lot and doesn't hang around the bottom at all, he's pretty active, and he eats his food. But normally I wouldn't think these spots would be there. It might be Ick, but I'm not quite sure, cause it doesn't start on his tail.

If you can add a picture of the fish, or decribe the spots in more detail, I can help you with an answer, but that could be so many different things the list would take forever to qrite, much less potential treatments for the bad ones. You will get tons of people saying ich, it's possible, but highly doubtful that it's ich unless you are seeing salt like spots all over the fish.

all fish are prone to a illness called ick. it is a deadly sickness that starts as white spots usually on the fins. the have some things that u can put in your fish's water that may cure the fish if the spots are new

i suggest going to the local petstore and asking them a couple of questions
