I found this tiny bug on my bed. it was probably as small as a grain of rice. it was striped, kind of black with yellow or reddish. it didn't have legs and moved around like an inchworm. it had some sort of fleshy stinger looking tail that was jet black. It's head wasn't detached from it's body. When I put my finger and nail next to it, it didn't try to climb, hurt, or even touch me. It went the opposite direction.

i've looked all over http://whatsthatbug.com/ and cant find anything!

If someone could try to answer this question (with a real answer. i dont need any "i dont know!"'s.) it would be greatly appreciated. I usually can't sleep in my room if i find a bug on my bed for a while (i actually moved my bed once to a different corner of the room) Also, whenever i think about little bugs like that, I get paranoid and itchy. ak. please help solve this mystery.

My family recently got a cat. It lives outside in the garage, but all of the cats that we live around keep coming and sleeping in it's bed, eating it's food etc. I was wondering if there is any way so to keep those cats away without it resulting in our cat becoming discouraged to be around our house.

A group of starlings have made noises which imitate a cat I have. I have a hunch that the cat killed the starling and they are mimiking the cat to let me know the starling has died. Your thoughts?

I lost my boy this morning. It's Sunday, so no places are open. I'm considering burying him in his favorite spot next to the house in the back yard. Is that okay to do? Are there any considerations I need to make from a health/sanitary standpoint? I'm not thinking too straight right now.

Can you tell from a 6-8 month old kitten what type of personality it will have?

I am thinking about adopting a kitten, but I'm afraid that I'll end up with a cat that will not be docile and affectionate. I don't want a cat that will be terribly energetic. Is there any way of telling what a kitten will be like? Maybe I should just get a full breed like a ragdoll that has certain personality characteristics?

I haven't had a kitten in 20 years. My last cat was 2 years old when I adopted her, so I knew that she was a sweet cuddle-muffin when I met her.

Thanks for any info and advice.

last night she stopped eating and drinking and started throwing up. The vet said to stop the antibiotics because they could be making her sick, but she's still throwing up, just bile, and after I gave her water. This is my first kitten ever, so I have no clue if this is normal for them or what the signs of dehydration would be. It's the weekend, so I'm really worried about it getting out of control. Any ideas?

I have a Chihuahua pup, Cujo. He is healthy and happy, but him and his brother developed what they call, "reverse sneezing". People have told me things I can do to stop it when it happens, but I was wondering if there was something that would prevent it from happening. I just hate how it sounds and don't want him to have an irritated feeling in his sinuses.

I've been looking around on the internet about what it takes to own one, but I want to know an estimate of the cost of the scorpion and all of the things that are needed to take care of one.

I would also like to know how difficult they are to take care of, how much time is needed to take care of one, etc.

And if there is any more information that I may find useful.

Thanks.

Ha got ya, who ever clicked on that question and wanted to answer yes, YOU ARE WRONG

Bettas are NOT happy and healthy in a bowl or in a 1 gallon tank

It's your responsibility to your fish to get at LEAST a 2.5 gallon tank with heater and filter for your betta

There is no truth behind that, that a betta is happy in little bowl?!?!?!

Would you like to be confined to a space of 2X2???
Don't think so

Remember one thing, you're going to cut down your betta's life to about 2 years if you're lucky

But if taken proper care it can live up to 7 years!!!!!

So what would you reather have, a happy and healthy betta or one that has a short expected life because of your iresponsibility?????

My cat Tiger, is black and grey in stripes kind of like a tiger. The tip of her tail is white and so are her paws, they look like socks. I have been looking everywhere online, but have not seen a picture that looks like her so I can't figure it out. If anyone knows please tell me. Thank You!

Ha got ya, this is suppose to be for people that still believe that myth about keeping goldfish in a bowl or a common pleco in a 10 gallon tank

The answer to that is simply NO, and here is why
http://www99.epinions.com/content_318561...

Here is also a site the provides info on proper care for goldfish
http://www.firsttankguide.net/goldfish.p...

Here is the correct info on a common pleco and his needs
http://members.tripod.com/~boeing_dude/i...
What does it say here, oh a minimum of 40 gallon, and you want to put him in a 10 gallon?

Wrong information everywhere, constantly I here from people that get advised from store employees that a pleco can go in a 10 gallon and a goldfish can live in a bowl?!?!

Come on people get real and do some research, before you buy ANY kind of fish

What do you think?
By talking i am including images and or pictures seemingly sent or recieved animal to animal or animal to human and vice versa.
have you ever thought of taking your dog for a walk when without movement or sound from you and unprompted he gets up ready to go? Are they acurately reading hidden signals we subconsciously display ? or are they reading the signals passing around in our brain or self? Ive been pondering .
what say you??

I plan on adopting an adult cat in the next coming weeks and want to prepare for her beforehand. She will be coming from a shelter and will be the only pet in the home. She is spayed and up to date on all of her shots.
I would like some advice on what I will need for this cat before she arrives home. Off the top of my head I came up with:
Food/water bowls
Food
Litter box
Litter
Toys
Bed
Grooming tools
Carrier
I just want to know if there is anything I am forgetting. Plus, it would help to hear of helpful things to have from people who have cats of their own. I am not new to cats as I had one 5 years ago, but just feel a little out of practice.
Also, any tips for when she first arrives would be great too.
Thank you in advance.

Because seriously... mine can be sitting in my lap for only 5 minutes and when I pick him up there are at LEAST 10-20 poop pellets. I'm not exaggerating at all either! That's like one pellet every 15-30 seconds. Why does it just seem to fall out of him like that and is there any way I can control it?

His diet is perfectly fine. He's young (one hear hasn't lopped and he's not sexually mature) and he *might* be a she. We're still not sure on that one.

He pees in his litterbox and almost always ONLY in his litterbox but is he aware of his hyperactive anus!?

Hello. 2 1/2 years ago I wanted to get my dad a cat for Christmas. Mom went to the animal shelter and brought home "Bruce Willis". He was 2 years old and found in an abandoned barn where he appeared to have lived since birth. I didn't know anything (and still don't know much) about feral cats, but I thought we could love him enough to make him our new kitty. We give him all the love he allows us to, but he continues to attack our feet quite aggressively at times. He will allow you to pet him, but only as long as he wants then he bites. Hard. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and I can no longer tolerate the bites/scratches to my feet. We have tried since we got him to break him of this habit, with no success. I would like to try everything possible to help him so we can keep him, but I'm at my wits end. When he bites, he draws blood. Is there any hope for Brucie?? Thank-you in advance for any advice.
