I tried my cat's food when I was a kid, and my sister used to be given the occasional dog biscuit.

My mom's friend restricted her kids from snacking until she found them eating the cat's food.

A few months ago I tried a puppy treat. Not bad, it was like a triscuit with some weird essense of cheese in it.

(I have made it known at work that I am for hire, I will eat a bite of any safe-to-eat food item that can be procured for $1.)

my pet's a turtle...i've never tasted the pellets(dried shrimp), the kind u buy in local petshops, its for the reason that im vegetarian..
plus, i was feeding my turtle those kinda stuff once but she never liked it, maybe bcoz she dint get used to the taste.
her staple food now is bread, ritz crackers or sometimes grahams and oreos. those kind u buy in regular grocery stores. my pet's really not that high maintenance...
so yeah, i've tasted my pet's food a countless times becoz we basically enjoy the same snack! =D

When I was ten years old, I tried my dogs food. It was extremely disgusting. It was a dare from my younger sister. Then when I was 11, I got my dog this synthetic kinda bone that was supposed to taste like spearmint and freshen their breath. So I wanted to see if it really did. So I just stuck my tongue to it. It really did taste like spearmint, but then it left a horrible after taste. So my advice is to not taste it unless it is a dare.

for the first 10 years of my life i tried to convince people that i was a cockerspaniel, and i ate friskies canned dogfood (when i could get by mom with it) and milkbone dog biscuits...i finally realized that i am a forlorn member of the lowly and doomed human species. i used to get on the floor when i was 3 or 4 and eat the dog's food from his dish at my babysitter's house i remember doing that...
sometimes i will sample the pet foods at the pet stores when they have those sales people doing the show and tell thing...if i get raised eyebrows i don't take it home to see if my pet will like it...if i can't eat it it ain't good enough for my pet.
back in the day when i was a hippie i lived in a commune and one of the people incharge of making sandwiches for the guys to take to work with them used cat food in them for about 2 months...and i am none the worse for the experience...believe me i put worse things in my system.
ofcourse when we found out about it.....

I did when I was around 9 years old on a bet that I wouldn't. It was a small doggy biscuit, really dry and Bland in my opinion, lol. But I did it.

The ones that don't have meat or fish on them.

Poor animals. I tried the cookies and the food tastes so terrible. I often wonder how our animals are so loyal to us, even if we feed them horrible tasting food.

Absolutely not! My hubby worked occasionally in a well known pet brand factory. He was always grossed out by the conditions of the factory and the conditions of the food. Rodents, roaches, stuff falling into it.....EW. Always said the factory stunk to high heaven too. No thanks.

I tasted my dog snacks once, just to see why she was so excited everytime I gave her one, but it was a pretty bad idea XD
