how big do discus get and what 's the min size of the tank? btw discus and goldfish which is Big?

Thanks guys - I have to stick to the word limit - so I was surprised that most of u understood the 2nd part of the question. I want to know between the 2: discus and goldfish - which one gets larger over time.

Discus are so colorful - I watched some clips on Youtube. Obviously, I have to do some research first before purchasing them.

they grow to 8-10in (20-25 cm)

discus are shy fish so they dont do well with a lot of other fish so keep in mind what you already have in the tank...

the tank needs to be at least 18" deep (deeper the better) and you typically should have 10 gallons per discus fish

and for the other question, goldfish grow much bigger... they can grow to 23 inches and weigh almost 10 lbs... although it is very rare for your goldfish to live long enough to get that big...

I have had several goldfish, in a filtered tank they can live for many years. I had one of mine live for about 10 years, unfortunately he died during our last move. But I would say he was around a foot long, at least....much much bigger than a Discus!

goldfish get bigger, i had a whole tank of them first start off with a small tank and then the fish will get bigger and just buy bigger tank.
