My cat Tiger, is black and grey in stripes kind of like a tiger. The tip of her tail is white and so are her paws, they look like socks. I have been looking everywhere online, but have not seen a picture that looks like her so I can't figure it out. If anyone knows please tell me. Thank You!

I have a great cat book, but I need to know more... Is her fur long or short? Is her body type long and lean or rather short and stubby? Also are there any other colors on her?

If there is a dark "M" on her forehead you automatically know she is a tabby(there can be long and short haired tabbys)

Legend has it Muhammad touched the forehead of one long ago and forever left his mark on the breed.

I have a beautiful long haired tabby with orange, black, and creme coloring. She has yellow-green eyes, sometimes I think she descended from bobcats, which is quite possible too.

"mixed breed?"

It's hard to identify without pictures and some kind of history on the cat. It sounds like maybe a tabby mix, since it has stripes, but there are a lot of different kinds of tabby. Unless you purchased the cat from a breeder or a pet store that sells purebred cats (in which case you would most likely have documentation on what breed it was), it's most likely, to coin the dog's term, a mutt. Unless you plan on turning your cat into a show animal, it probably doesn't matter all that much.

Sounds like she's a mixed-breed cat ... I'm thinking maybe an American Shorthair Silver Tabby (that would be the "tiger" markings you describe) and then the white socks (I just LOVE that on cats, it's so sweet and delicate looking!), could be from a variety of breeds, I'm sure. Maine ****, maybe? Siberian? Not sure about the white paws piece of her! Just know she sounds VERY pretty!!!!!!

I have 6 cats.

Sam has shirt hair and is Black and White.
Whitefeet is a shirt hair gray striped cat with white feet.
Wendy is a medium hair calico.
Cocoa has long hair and when we got her as a kitten she was brown but now she is black.
Nuni is short hair and black and white like Sam.
Mr. Orange is not orange he is tan. When he was kitten we could not come up with a name for him and just called him the orange because he was kind of orange. Turns out he is tan.

I think your cat is just a domestic short hair cat. That is what the vet calls Whitefeet but one vet called her a gray tiger domestic short hair.

She is a silver tabby and white domestic shorthair. What you're describing is called a color pattern, not a breed. As long as you love her it doesn't matter what "kind" of a cat she is. I'd say she's a lucky cat.

A written description is very difficult for making a decision. There are so many elements in this. Post a photo if you can.

ummmmm... it sounds like a mix breed of tuxedo and grey tabby to me! my cat is an orange tabby and he looks like he has tiger stripes too. my mom has a tuxedo cat that has white paws and a white belly. idk i think you should ask your vet or guess.
