Should I buy a female betta fish to add to my fish bowl for my male betta fish or not?
If i buy a female fish should i do that when there are not so many bubbles or when they are covering the whole surface?

i just got 2 balloon mollies and put them in a 10 gal tank with guppie and mickie mouse platties over the next few hours i noticed that she had babbies she was having a hard time swimming so i thaught shed probly have more the next morning sh was dead and so were the babies what happend?

Hello-- I have two oranda goldfish. I observe them daily. The bigger of the two lost almost all of the scales on one side of his back (it seems like overnight). There is one small sucker fish, a Siamese Algae Eater (not a pleco), who has been in the tank for a few months now. They are the only fish in the tank.
Other than the scale loss, my fish seems fine. No gulping or floating at the top so I don't think he has the bladder problem I have read about. He can swim fine and doesn't float up uncontrollably.
I just want to make sure I don't need to separate him from the other goldfish or do something for him. Could it be from breeding? I am unsure of their sexes. They have two little ceramic bridges in their tank but those have been in there from the start (since January 2007 when I got them). Is this rapid scale loss normal? Thanks in advance!!

Hi, i had my goldfish for about 2 years or so ..maybe a year and half...he had a swim bladder problem so i put peas in his tank he didnt eat any and now he is sitting on bottom of tank and his scales turned silver....any help?

Our cat, who is 8, has always had run of the house and chooses wherever she would like to sleep - bed, sofa, chairs, piles of clothes etc... and we have never particularly minded this.

However, is it known that cats do particularly like their own designated space for sleeping? Would a bed or a basket make her more secure/comfortable etc - she often gets kicked off the beds (literally!) if we are asleep and she startles and jumps off the sofas etc etc

Am I actually depriving her of her own sleeping place or do cats like the run of the hosue to choose their own place?

I am getting to quite like the idea of her having one place, as I am getting a little fed up with the hair everywhere she has sat, but I love her to bits and really want to do what is best for her!

i cant go to the store because my parents are busy. so i need a way to cure the fin and tail rot from home. any solutions. i dont have any medicine at all. all i have is food and water conditional and the tank and the substances in the tank. will leaving the fish alone cure it or should change the water or should i do something else

like, can you get a cold from a cat? or can the cat get a cold from you? cuz my cat was healthy and then my dad got a cold and now she has one! i'm not sure. It's sounds likely, but im still unsure. don't feel bad, though, its just a cold nothing life-threatening.

She's 8 months old, I feed her on Eukanuba puppy biscuits, mixed with chicken and she has 2 treats per day, one of which is a pedigree dentastick. She keeps getting constipated and Im not sure why, Ive tried worming tablets but it still happens. I know charcoal biscuits stop wind, is there something like this to stop the constipation?

i recently started feeding my new bottom feeder tablets 2 to 3 times a day is it possible that is why my shark is swolen i cant get rid of white spot after treating all neons died bought more now they are getting it but shark still no longer has it. my shaking im that scared .... i have people telling me that my young female cat is to young to have kittens .. then i have other people telling me she should be fine .... then there are ones saying she could die ... i .. im so confused :( i dont want to lose my babie shes my babie ... i need a straight answere from a pro !! not some one whos just guessing or had a cat once or twice i need some one very experienced and have had a young cat that was pregnant .. im not even sure if i should ask the vet ...i mean i dont know if he ever had a young cat die from being pregnant ...anyways my young cat at the age of 1 is pregnant we think shes gonna have 3 kittens or do cats go threw somthing when they hit ther maturity ?? i mean i dont know she could of just ate to much she tends to do that lol ..

I thought that it would be a good idea to raise brine shrimp for my ADFs. It would cost less than buying them at the petstore. Does anybody know where I can buy large quantities of brine shrimp eggs? I think I will buy a hatchery at petsmart but what will I keep the shrimp in while I am waiting for them to grow big enough? And where can I buy the food?

i have one goldfish left. there is a problem with it. one of the fins is appearing to be deteriorating because there is white stff on the end like it just got ripped also. also the tail fin also appears to be ripped of partially. i know its not ick because there are no white dots. also the fin, not the tail fin, the other fin is becoming red. what is wrong with him. if it is a disease should i clean the tank.

well i have one wolf hybrid and we didnt think where i got her was a very good breeder. the reason we did buy from her because we knew she wasnt going to be a breeding dog and we fell in LOVE with makeesha. Well now she has a serious help problems she has to get surgry to remove two tumors on each leg. Then we found out she had worms the vet said she has worms ever since she was a puppy because the breeder didnt deworm them. and we dewormed her and we checked her doo doo and there appeard to be dead worms does that mean they are all gone
and i just barly checked her stool and it was green with yellow chunks in it. is this normal.
i will post pictures of her stool
if you really want to see them but its kinda grose just let me know then i will go do it. thanks ahead of time
oh yeah makeesha is 92% wolf and 8% malamute and she is 7 months august 1st.

It is a neon tetra. It kept getting stuck to my filter so I moved it to a different tank. It is very skinny, but doen't seem to have a loss of apitite. It doesen't have clamped fins or rapid breathing, It has been swimming very slowly near the bottom of the tank and every once and a while not moving at all. It devloped this condition this morning, It is NOT a new fish. my water is not cloudy or dirty.

They dont go to the toilet but the male cat sprays my daughters toys to scent mark them...I tried putting some stuff down which claimed to put them off but it did nothing...any tips?

I have a 10 gallon tank. I already have 3 female mollies and a goldfish in it. Last year one of my mollys had babies and we have 3 left(2females and 1 male) which are in a smaller tank. Would it be too crowded if i put them in the 10 gallon tank with the other fish?

I want to move them because I have another pregnant molly and i want to put her babies in the smaller tank.
