sounds like he has constipation and not a swimbladder infection
Here is a site with all the disease including constipation, with symptoms and treatments

Hi Sparkle, First off, don't worry about the scales turning silver-it has nothing to do with his ailment, this is a common trait in Goldfish & especially Moors whose black colour is extremely unstable.

Although it sounds like it could be a swim bladder disorder it could also just as well be constipation. The link below gives information & specific instructions for dealing with this condition-you have to scroll a little way down the page to the 'Swim Bladder' section. It wouldn't hurt to keep trying him with a piece of cooked, shelled pea though-if it is only constipation & he manges to eat some this will almost certainly cure it.

Moors seem particularly susceptible to swim bladder disorders & while sometimes it is not completely curable it is often possible to alleviate it greatly.

some just change colors as they get older but if he sunk to the bottom then most likely hes dying.
