She probably is getting close, but it could still be days away, there really isn't any way to know for sure.

Usually if the guppy is pregnant there stomach will become more square shaped and you will begin to see a dark spot called 'the gravid spot' above the anus. This spot is said to be the eyes of the fry and is more visual towards the later stages of pregnancy, guppys can produce from 8 to 100 fry in one birth but younger guppies are more likely to produce at the lower end of the scale (around 8). Not to worry you but if your guppy has white stringy poo it has possibly an internal parasite and is not pregnant. Most likely though if it is only stringy and not white the guppy is pregnant. They store sperm for six months and will have fry on average every 28 days with or without another male in the tank. It is very possible that the female is pregnant even before you bought it. However much you want to keep your fry remember more fish require more space and more guppys means alot more fry and alot more fish!. They don't call them the millions fish for nothing. :). Eventually survival of the fittest is the most humain answer for controlling the shear number of fish you have in your aquarium unless you know people who will take them of you (ask the petstore but don't expect money for them); usually atleast 2 will survive out of a batch of 10 depending on the community. You should not keep a guppy in a breeder net for anymore than 24hours as the stress alone could kill her. Provide lots of hiding places for the fry because guppys have a tendancy to eat there babys however some choose not to eat there own fry. The fry will eat finly crushed flake food and you should really feed hem small amounts around 4times a day. The best bet is to put your female guppy into a seperate tank so that it isn't harrassed by the males and once she has given birth feed it well and give it atleast 24 hours to relax before releasing it into the main tank again. That way you can raise the fry in a harm free tank. Common signs of a pregnant guppy are. Not eating, spitting out food, lying on the bottom of aquarium, resting near heater. I hope i could help you. What is a sign of guppy pregnancy? When you see baby guppies coming out of it's bum, it is at the end of the pregnancy

There isn't really much you can do to intervene if she's having trouble giving birth. Stay calm and watch her. At the first sign of swimming dots (that's pretty much what baby guppies look like) provide some hiding places for the babies or they might get eaten.

If she looks anything like the female in that video she is short before birth
This one gave birth in a matter of 2 hours later
The obvious signs are a very dark gravid spot and a squary look beneath her head

Hope that helps
Good luck

Don't worry about it. I had guppies and I left them alone. The next day, babies would be there. Don't worry. It a fish and the momma will be fine.
