I'm not going to pretend I know a lot about fish, there are millions of reasons why your molly could have died.

You have an aquarium with a filter and heater right? Mollies are tropical freshwater fish and need their water temperature to be in the right range. Around 70-80 degrees. Perhaps you filled your tank from your tap, and your tap water has the wrong pH or hardness? Also if you bought your fish from a pet store the fish could have already been sick.

If you don't want to keep the fry, try to return them to the pet store.

Hmm...lack of space and/or wrong food?

"The Balloon Molly is a livebearer that requires a spawning box in a 25 gallon, or larger breeding tank. The Balloon Molly is omnivorous and requires both meaty foods as well as algae. Provide these fish with an algae-based flake food, as well as freeze-dried bloodworms, tubifex, and brine shrimp. "

Fish die. They don't have a very good life expectancy. There is a possibility that she got it from the pet store or are you sure she was pregnant. Sometimes fish appear to be pregnant but really they have an internal disease
