I have a 10 gallon tank. I already have 3 female mollies and a goldfish in it. Last year one of my mollys had babies and we have 3 left(2females and 1 male) which are in a smaller tank. Would it be too crowded if i put them in the 10 gallon tank with the other fish?

I want to move them because I have another pregnant molly and i want to put her babies in the smaller tank.

Yep, not only would it be too crowded, but honestly your a bit crowded as it is and as that goldfish grows it will outgrow your tank. If your interests lie to breeding mollies, I would suggest you find a new home for the goldfish, increase the temperature of the tank and start adding a bit of salt (about 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons) to the water. Mollies to much better at this level of salt than with none at all.

No then there would only be 6 fish.
Which isnt that much in a 10 gallon tank.Plus thsoe fish arent that big.
I would suggest geting a bigger tank though if you ahe the money.

Yes, it's too over crowded. First of all, mollies are tropical (warmer temps.) and goldfish are coldwater (colder temps.). They can't live together. Goldfish also grow to over a foot long, so I'd suggest to move it in its own tank. If you take out the goldfish and place the fry in a separate fry tank, that will be fine.

The general rule is 1 inch of fish per gallon so it would depend on how big your fish are.

the rule of thumb is an inch of fish per gallon so when you line all of your fish up they should equal 10 inches.
