i have a dachshund too! but anyways, just once if the vet knows what he/she's doing.

When you have your dog neutered they remove the reproductive organs. You only do it once. It's best to do it between 5-6 months of age.

This is a silly question. You only neuter your dog once. Neutering means removing all of his reproductive organs, and it is usually recommended to neuter your dog when he is 6 months old.

Neutering is a polite way of saying castrating - that is, the removal of the testes.

Neuter = cutting his balls off.
