My cats gums are pink but get pretty red right at the gum lines. I mean one of my cats has the normal (I think) sort of pink ribbon on his gums right above/below his teeth but my other kitty has a "ribbon" above/below his teeth that is a bright red. I know this sounds like I am being ignorant but seriously is this something I should be worried about?

My anole got this bump on her her jaw. Its a little squishy but its kinda like a big ball. A person at my local petstore gave me some calcium for her because she tought it might be from not enough calcium. That didn't work. So she gave me some antibiotics for her. I've been giving them to her for a 2 weeks & the bump doesn't look any better. So now she's decided to try & drain it out & if its to hard to drain out she was going to make a slit & let it drain its self out. Does any one know what this bump could be??? Or if the petstore person is doing the right thing by draining the bump??? Could my Anole die???
PLEASE SHE IS GOING TO DRAIN IT TOMORROW!!!

i have visited this website in the uk.
they have ferrets for sale, and other things.
i found POLECATS FOR SALE, ALOT OF THEM!
is it true they sell polecats in the united kingdom? they look just like a sable ferret, but they say POLECAT on the ones that are sable. are they really selling polecats? or just sable ferrets?

i am very worried about the vet cause i had a pug pup and i took him the vet here where i moved to and within 3 days he died ? he wasnt even 6 mos so my new baby i know that the white thing moved so he needs treatment plz help me what should i do i cant even think of loosing another pup can i do it at home or he needs medical attention the breeder gave him all his shots and dewormed him already he just is needing his rabies but he is still to young as far as i know in PA they have to be 6 mos of age ,SC i dont' know

My mom bought a feeder gold fish, and it slowly started to turn white, now it's tail has like redish lines all over it. Is that normal?! I can't find anything about it on the net.

my female boxer pup is almost three months old and i had her since she was seven weeks old. now why does she go bolistic and whines so loud like she is being tortured when i put her in her craite if i have to leave the house to do an errons and if i want to take a shower or when i can not watch her i put her in her craite. ,but yet at night when we are sleeping she is fine and sleeps with out any whiny ,but wakes me up when she has to potty.i take her out like every three hours to potty so i am kinda need help here please. and please no dumb andwers

What is the best furniture fabric and color for pet hair?

I have an Australian shepherd and two cats. I want to get microfiber furniture (the cats are not declawed). I want to know is this the most durable fabric for my money? Also, what color should I pick so pet hair won't really be too noticeable? I can't really prevent the animals from getting on the couches because they sleep on it at night and during the day when I am at work. So:
Best fabric?
Best color?
Cleaning suggestions?

Also, I do not want to put a furniture cover over the couches. Thanks.

i read somewhere that whippets should never be let off it's leash in an open area. is that true? if so, why? if the owner lets it off it's leash, will it run away from it's owner? if they run away will they be smart enough to return?

I recently started a tank, after not doing fish for a few years. My ammonia has gone down to zero . That is testing just before the daily water change. The nitrite and nitrate are a different story. They have been stuck at 2 ppm & 20 ppm, respectfully. They have been this high for several weeks. This seems high to me, even for cycling my tank, but I don't think I should get rid of it ALL. Wouldn't that make the bacteria for the nitrite die or at least not multiply? Also What level should I try to keep them at? I understand zero is the target but what about during your initial cycle? Am I wrong in thinking that I want to have a little bit left in there to encourage bacteria growth?

i moved my live fish into a hospital fish and they are doing ok unfortunately because im new to all this it was to late for about 15 of my fish now these had the fungus

i did a full clean of everything threw away my grave and everything Basically strted from scratch again im letting my "new" tank settle for about 2-3 days (today is the first day)

OK SO FINNALY MY QUESTION
should i put my old fish(the ones in the hospital tank) into my "new" tank after it settles or should i alsio start from scratch on those

if their is nothing i can do to them whats the best humane way to euthanize them
i dont want to run the risk of another epidemic

I live in Thailand and last weekend while clearing brush on my property i uncovered three snakes. They were all about2.5-3 feet long and bluish gray in color. Their heads were not triangular and they had an interesting sort of iridescence when they passed through a patch of sunlight. I have two little kids so I want to know if they are dangerous or not. Thanks for your help.

I have a new cat i'm trying to introduce, that's about 4 years old, and my old one is like 11. Both female. I dont know if I ruined all chances already but I put them in the same room the first day, and they just hiss and growl. The younger (new) cat, Snowball, is always hiding, and growls even at ME, and attacks me with claws when i try to pet her. My old cat, Lucky, just acts a little bit odd, constantly staring at the couch (when Snowball is hding underneath it) and growling when near her. It's now the fourth day, and I checked the internet and they said i'm not even supposed to have them in the same room till like a week. I didn't know. They're still acting the same way, growling and hissing, and they even fought once, which lasted for exactly ONE second...

How do I fix this to make Snowball get along with Lucky and me? Also, how long will the process take? (Please dont give an answer like "it varies", if it DOES vary, can you specify the range please)

ok thinking about getting a pet fish. i want something that is low-maintenance, clean, and 'hardy.' and i don't want a fish that i m going to have to feed live/frozen food too. i just wanna feed it with pellets/fish food whatever it's called. also is better/worse to use live plants in the aquarium. i am thinking of something in the 4-5 gallon range with 1 fish or more depending if it needs a school or not. any advice is appreciated!
