First neuter him, then if the behavior has become a habit, you need to get a continuous pheromone diffuser, from your vet. This should do the trick. Also have him checked for a urinary tract infection, which may also be a cause. If he squats and pees, it could be infection, if he sprays the wall or vertical surface, it's spraying/behavioral.

Some male cats do this...not all. Get him neutered as soon as the time is right and before he starts spraying.

Sure, neutering prevents it. Just make sure he is neutered before he turns six months or he may start peeing and not stop even if nuetered afterword. Good luck with your new baby.
(neutering also prevents cancers and prolongs life, plus improves his demeanor and prevents him from creating unwanted kittens -- its very important for all kitties:) )

The only way to stop this is for him to be neutered. This will stop him from spraying on your stuff. Also clean the areas with lime or lemon juice. I've found that stops them.

Neutering could help but then again it may not. Good luck!

There is a spray you can buy it is costly and probably does not work for long ,if it works at all the best way to stop him is to get him fixed.

Only one--he has to be neutered. If he's not, he'll think it's ok to spray indoors as well and you won't be able to stop him.

get him fixed.
I heard that doing this before he started doing this would have been better, but I dunno.
otherwise I think there is this spray stuff you could buy at pet stores. Dunno what it's called though.
good luck :)
