OK SO FINNALY MY QUESTION
should i put my old fish(the ones in the hospital tank) into my "new" tank after it settles or should i alsio start from scratch on those

if their is nothing i can do to them whats the best humane way to euthanize them

If the fish in the hospital tank was treated for fungus and now shows no signs of the fungus, it will be perfectly safe to add them to your tank. I would suggest you treat them in the hospital tank for the complete course of the fungus medication and wait at least 2 weeks for any signs of fungus before adding them to your new tank.

All you need to do is treat your regular tank. Dont euthanize fish who arent sick -- if you cant put them in the tank, you cant put any other fish in so you may as well trash your whole tank. When you have a tank -- and yours I assume is at least a 20 gallon depending on how small your fish are, since you apparenlty have more htan 15 fish, you will deal with illness time to time. IF your tank is too small for all those fish, that is the cause. I have not dealt with fungus, but treat the tank with the treatment for sick fish and add a lot of salt. Vaccume it good and give it a water change and ensure water perimeters are good. Be careful that once you readd the fishies the tank will recycle a little, so you may want to do a few water changes a week, nothing extreme as to make the cycling worse. good luck!

if by fungus your saying that the fish have a fungus yes it can be treated, but as far as moving them back into the tank that may not be such a good idea. but this would all depend on the number of fish you have and the size tank that you plan on putting them in. the problem is that since you cleaned everything out and are starting over you killed all of your beneficial bacteria that keep the ammonia and nitrites down in the tank so by putting the fish back into the "new" tank may do them more harm then good as ammonias being produced could possibly kill them. I would leave them in the hospital tank and treat them with an antibiotic of some sort but its hard to say which one cuz i dont know what kind of fish you have or what the fungus looks like. but i would definately leave them in the hospital tank until they are all better.

just let the new tank recycle while caring for the sick fish check the ph,ammonia, and nitrate on the new tank when it is at an acceptable place then put your fish back in it make sure the heater is turned up to around 75-78 float the fish in a bag for about fifteen to twenty minutes before releasing them and add a little aquarium salt for stress and just keep an eye on them hope this helps
