No! Cow's milk gives a dog diarrhea. Don't do it. It's alright to give canned milk if mixed with 1/2 water, if you want to give milk.

Dogs do not have lactase in their systems but that for adult dogs not puppies. If you dog is not a puppy but loves the taste of milk then try lactaid as it has the lactase enzyme in it and won't give your dog stomach cramps and/or diarrhea. Or try them on soy milk or rice milk. I give my beagle once in awhile as a treat a small bowl (1 cup) of lactaid milk. My vet said that this was ok but NOT to give him regular milk as its too harsh on their stomachs. My cocker spaniel when he was alive really enjoyed drinking rice milk as a treat and the vet was ok with this.

Human beings are the only animal that continues to drink milk after they are weaned. Your dog may like it, but he will probably like chocolate and other things that aren't good for him either. I'm sure you love your dog and want to give him things he likes. Maybe a bit of yogurt or cream cheese. That's A BIT. Mix a bit in with his kibble. If you don't have problems with his appetite, why not just feed him dog food? Please remember to spay or neuter your pet.

The vet told me that after an animal is weaned they do not need milk anymore ever again. Yes, it will give them a good case of diarrhea and that is NOT fun. So, NO milk.

My golden has diarrhea the day we give him milk unless we dilute the milk with a lot of water, while the Pom has no problem at all. But both are ok with yoghourt.

No, dogs stomachs do not contain enough lactase which breaks down lactose in milk. It can cause severe stomach upset and diarrhea which can lead to dehydration.
