I have two guinea pigs and they are both so boring. i wish they were energetic. im also allergic to them. they dont do anything. I know its just thier personality. i dont want to get rid of them because i made the comitment and it would be so hard to get rid of them. im not really that good with long term comitment but have just lost interest in them. i cant afford allergy medication or shots. i also am having a hard time relizing that im going to have one for the next 4 years and the other for the next 6-8 years. my parents will never let me live it down. any uniqe sugjestions?

I'm on my way to house train my rabbit. so far he doesn't chew on any cords during the two months i've had him. Should I just leave it at that? or could he chew it later?

My cat was bit by a snake and the cat scratched my daughter. I live in Southern NJ and we have copperheads and black snakes. I took my daughter to the er and they said i have nothing to worry about but I am still concerned. Is there any reason to be worried? What should I look out for?

I've been wondering how do i get my fancy guppies to breed?
I decided to try breeding fancy guppies about six onths ago. So i read up on them and it said that if you were to breed the you have to buy two females and one male or tfour females and two males and so forth. So i went to my local wal mart and bought two females and one male, a bredding net, and some breeding grass. But turns out the lady at the store got me two males and one female. and i guess the two males got agressive over the one female and the larger male killed the other male. so i was left with one female and one male. so i decided to breed them anyways. i left the female and male in the breeding net for bout two days and took the male out. and i waited for bout two weeks and the female started to get fater and had the dark black spots in her stomach[the babies] . and theen nothing happened. andthe same things been happening for bout six months ago. what should i do to get s successful breeding outta her?

All my pond fish died. I found a pecan shell in the bottom of the pond, when I drained it. I also found hundreds of tiny red worms in the water, in the algae on the sides of the pond, and in the filters. The plants are doing just fine. How can I get rid of the worms, so I can put fish back in the pond.

I was wondering if anyone knows what to do to make the ph come back up to a normal level. i know the type of fish i have produce a lot of waste which probably causes this problem. but what can i do to make my ph not so high. i believe my ph is about 7.9 or even 8. if you have any advice on how to fix this problem i have this would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

One day, my cat was outside, in my backyard. My grandmother went outside and my cat just attacked her. She was scratched very badly, her legs were all bloody and it scared me half to death, my cat even scratched my grandma on the head when she bend down to pick up something! Now, my mom insists that my cat goes to the pound but i'm feeling sad because he's been with us since last October and it's been 9 months. I really miss him, what can i do?

I recently got a border collie puppy! He is so adorable and friendly until he is eating! He has bad food aggresion...and if you touch him or his food bowl while he's eating he acts like he's gonna eat you up.....and he just eats his food down like he's never seen food before! But when he gets done eating he's back to his normal lovable self.. How do I get him not to be food aggressive?

If a person cleaned a 2 1/2 gallon fish tank.OFTEN could a Otocinclus catfish live in it safely. It would have a heater but no filter. and some silk plants. and Maybe a betta. I know I know i dont need to hear Male bettas have to be in a tank a lone because that is not true I have had male bettas in with other fish in bigger tanks and they have did just find and so did the other fish and African dwarf frogs. Just want to know if OTO catfish would do ok in a tank with out a filter and a 2 1/2 gallon tank

I have a miniature Schnauzer who weighs 17lbs. He is 5yrs old. He is updated on shots, healthy and registered. He has all his paper work. He is fun, loving and enjoys company. My hubby is getting deployed and we are looking for a loving and caring home for him. Im just so scared that he will get abused. Why hasn't my female platy gotten pregnant? I have been reading that platies mate like crazy and will almost definitely get pregnant. I have a male and female platy in my tank, I've had them for about 6 months and they both reached sexual maturity about 2 months ago. They are in a 10 gallon tank with 2 white skirt tetras, and 4 tiny neon tetras, the tank does not seem to be overcrowded. I keep the temperature around 78 degrees and I have a filter. There are fake corals and thick plants in the tank. Both platies are healthy and very active. So, my question is, should I expect a pregnancy, i.e., is it a definite thing, or is it possible that the platies will never mate?

Ive let the tank cycle for about a month and a half now, my local fish shop checked the water and said it was alright to get fish, so I bought a cleaner shrimp, and a clown. The Clown died two days after because Oodinium. Now its only the cleaner shrimp in there, and its been about a week since the clown died, and now the live rock is turning brown on the parts where it was white. Is this normal?....I hope so =[

My gravel (which is lightgreen and white) has started to turn brownish from algae, I now know to leave the lights on for shorter periods of time, (i have no live plants), So any ideas how i can get the algae off the gravel WITHOUT removing it, And i dont want a 'sucker fish' or 'algae fish'
