I'm on my way to house train my rabbit. so far he doesn't chew on any cords during the two months i've had him. Should I just leave it at that? or could he chew it later?

Leave it.

Rabbits don't have a very long life span only a few years so in relative time your rabbit hasn't chewed on any cords in well over a year. If he has been good like that then you should be pretty safe.

I did have one idea for what to do IF he started chewing on your cords. If you cover them in Ben Gay or a similar ointment he will quickly lose the tastes and while it is not meant for ingestion the active ingredient in Ben Gay and others is a form of pepper.

Yes, your rabbit could start chewing on cords at any time. It is really best to block off an area that you can "rabbit proof." If possible, remove all cords from this area, but if not then at least use furniture to block your rabbit from being able to get to those cords.

The average life span of a rabbit is 8 - 10 years, and I have heard of some living as long as 13 and 14 years. The best way to help your rabbit live a long and happy life is to keep him safe and healthy. Chewing on cords is not only a choking hazard, but your rabbit can cut himself on the wires inside, or worse -- electrocute himself. Provide him with fun toys like cardboard tubes (toilet paper or paper towl tubes), old phone books, newspapers, hard plastic baby toys (those plastic baby keys are great), etc. These types of things will help keep him occupied and help him stay out of trouble.

Yeah he could. Mine didn't start chewing on cords for a year.
You can rap em with duck tap/packing tape, or there is this stuff called "Foowey!" that you put on what ever you dont want em' to chew on. And it puts a nasty taste in there mouth for a few seconds. It's completely safe too. I use it with my cat, (used to) for my dogs, (still do) my horses, and(used to) my rabbit.

You can pick it up at most pet stores, or get it off ebay sometimes...

hoep I helped. :)
