I'll suggest two groups of fish for you to check out
African Cichlids and Killifish.
Just try a google image search on each of those and you'll see what I mean.

Ram Cichlids are good starter Cichlids because they are peaceful. That way you can mix them in with some colorful (not dyed) Tetras.

like MM said. african cichlids. i have 7. they come inall sorts of colors. keep the ph at around 8 and they will be happy

I love angels. they are beuatiful and gracful. i breed them(just took it up) and just got my 1st succesful spawn yestertday. =) i am so happy.it a koi male and a gold marble female so i am curius to see the results.

you could check out with bettas or goldfish they could be pretty colorful and beautiful to go and check them out.
