I don't want to sound rude, but it sounds like your cat really shouldn't be near your grandmother. I know how you're feeling because I recently had to get rid of 3 dogs that I had had my whole life And I cried most of the time. I've also gotten rid of several other dogs that we had because they were too rough and they would bite or scratch my family. That was always tough.
I know it seems really hard to get rid of a cat you've grown to love, but you need to think about how your grandma is feeling. And also just know that your cat probably would go to a great home that probably has been wanting a pet for a long time.
Sorry if that isn't the answer you wanted to hear, but I hope it at least helps.

I had the same problem, not long ago. I know how you feel, truly. I had a cat that I had raised on a bottle, after it was abandoned by the mother cat.
Once she got to adulthood, she started attacking my friends, then she attacked my brother and sister, and the family dogs.
Then she attacked me.
I'm sorry to say it, but the removal of the cat might have been for the best. It may have eventually attacked you, at some point.

Think happy thoughts about your cat. Like things like, "He is going to a good home. Although, he was in a good home, I am sure that he will be fine!" Anything that can raise your spirts up will do you good! Has your cat gone to the pound yet? If not, ask your Mom if the cat can have another chance. Tell your Mom how will work with you cat, and to make him a better cat. Hopefully your Mom will budge. Also, I would provide a scracthing post for your cat. That way, he can claw at it as much as he wants, and not your grandmother head or legs!
If you have any other questions, you can email me at: pethelper4@yahoo.com! thanks, and GOOD LUCK!

There is nothing you can do. I guess you can always get another cat, preferably one that is tamer or declawed! That will help fill the void from the other cat. Just remember the times you did have with it. You never know, maybe it will get a home that can handle an agressive cat.

was your cat ok. did the cat have ALL of her shots. if she did not. try to help your grandma. if the cat was healthy and had all her shots, why dont you just visit her at the pound. explain to the workers there what happened. if the cat is nice to YOU should visit it every day. make sure you tell the people not to put her too sleep if you are goin to visit her. if you visit her, be VERY careful

If your cat is already at the pound, there's not much you can do but remember all the good times you had with your cat.

I can understand your sadness, as your cat became part of your family. However your cat became a dangerous member of your family, and so, has to be removed.
