my parakeets are only two months old i got them form a local pet store..and they wont quit fighting..i got mine last tuesday and my sister got hers yesterday...and we dont know if their both male or noth female or 1 male and 1 female they pick at eachother but when i get mine out and not hers then they want to be near eachother but when i put them together....all they do is fight fight fight.....
please help!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I have 7 platies in a 15 gallon tank. When i bought them from the aqautics store they were in a mixed tank with males and females> so why arent they reproducing ? And im certian i have mixed ( female and male) in the tank?

I have a 9" Ghost knife, apparently they have a bad reputation of killing other fish that are smaller, but mine has never attacked anything in my tank, I have tetras, algae eaters, and other small fish, he hasn't harmed anyone of them.

I do want to move him to another tank, and I want to add some Jack Dampseys and Ciclids, they are about 2.5". My question is, will 2.5 to 3 inch Jacks attack a 9" Ghost? I don't think he will attack them, he is weird, cuz he is peaceful.........

What are your thoughts?

Our 13 year old Yorkshire Terrier has been losing his hair in spots all over his body. Lately he's been chewing at his skin till it's raw but he doesn't have fleas! His vision and hearing are both going bad due to old age, so could his hair loss be because of old age too?? Or could there be another probable cause? The hair loss is not due to his chewing on himself...so count that one out.

I foster kittens and I always need to know their weight to check if they're healthy and if they're ready for surgery.
A human scale is not accurate enough, and 3 weeks old kitten won't do a difference on the scale even if I weight myself with it and substract my weight. A food scale can't handle that much, most go up to 500g - 1lb only. Can you suggest a better scale I could use? Thanks!

Ok. well my mom isn't exactly a fan of cats. she tells me that she is "afraid" of cats! i cant really understand that. I just love cats and I really want to get one. My dad is fine with it, but I need both mom and dad to agree. I dont really know how to convince her, and I have been trying to do so for quite some time now. The only thing she says is "You can get one when you move out." which won't be for another 6 or 7 years. I can't wait that long! Can someone please help me?

I have this beta fish for like one year or so, it was quite healthy at first, but then a few days ago, my sister put a mirror in its tank for like 20 minutes or so. From that day on, the beta fish turned from its original color (dark red) to yellowish. I'm worried 'cause I think it's sick...is there anyway to heal it?

His sibling has gone twice, but he hasn't. He pees, but that's it. I've rubbed his abdomen with a warm cloth and his anal area as well, but haven't gotten a response. It's been a few hours shy of 24 hours since I brought them in. Any suggestions on how to get him to go? I'm a little worried.

I have a 7 month old red eared slider. And latley he has been having problems, and its only been happening for about 1 1/2 weeks maybe. But he is breathing soooo heavy and like sometimes it looks as if he is choking and also he foams at the mouth like badly. He also sleeps like so much. And he has bug eyes alot of times. can i put some rose water in its eye?usually we use rosewater wen our eyes r irritatin.it doesnt hurt or anything but it clears out the eye. i just wanted to know whether i could do that with the kitty or not?? i have no other alternativ.plz answer soon. i just want to put a drop of rose water only. i'm almost sure it'l help me but i just want to confirm that whether it'l hurt it or not

I recently had to put my 2-yr old st. bernard to sleep. We were workig with him to be a pet therapy dog at nursing homes and hospitals. We are very sad. My husband and I would like another dog either puppy or from shelter that would be a good temperment dog, very social, good with children so we can still pursue the therapy dog thing. As we both like to volunteer and see the joy people get from dogs.
