Has he been vaccinated?

It is unlikely that your cat has a cold - cats don't get colds, but they do get the cat flu virus, especially if he is not vaccinated.

You should take him to the vet straight away. Cat flu is a killer in young and old cats and he needs treatment straight away.

Don't let it get any worse or you could lose him. The next thing you know is his eyes will be running, his temperature will rise and he will stop eating.

Please take note ...and I hope he gets better soon.

It could be more than a little cold. It could be an upper respiratory infection, which is treated with antibiotics. It could also be something more serious like Feline Leukemia. A lot of vets recommend testing for Feline Leukemia when the history of the kitten is unknown--the care it and it's parents were given before you.

So take your kitten to the vet so you can have it properly diagnosed and be on the way to getting better.

I got my cat from the shelter with 'a little cold'... Let me tell you it was no little cold. Within a day or two the poor lil guy was sneezing with runny eyes and a runny nose and stopped eating and drinking.. a trip to vet reveiled it was a severe respiratory virus. And a very contagious one at that! They put him on antibiotics but he still wouldn't drink or eat. I had to force water down his throat with an eye dropper for days!!!

I would take him to vet just to make sure it's nothing more serious.

Cats normally have their nose wet this is a sign that they are healthy but if it is too much and it is accompanied with sneezing then take them to a vet ASAP. Especially if it is a kitten who may not have fully developed antibodies yet. *Warning* If this kitten you speak of was taken from its mother prematurely there is a good chance it wont live very long due to lack of crucial development and nutritional needs from the mother.

A trip to the vet. There's no such thing as a little cold and if it's feline influenza your kitty will probably die eventually without treatment. Off to the vets with you.

Antibiotics. You must get him to the vet, especially if he has a runny nose and eyes for more than 3-4 days. But the vet must say so, especially if he is too young.

Take him to the vets, the cold could turn into pneumonia or cat flu and he might need meds.
