So I've noticed my beardie do these three things and I dunno what they mean at all one of them I'm worried is a problem

1. when he basks he opens his mouth
2. I've only caught him doing this occasionally but while basking he will puff his beard up and it will turn black on the bottom.
3. Currently he is with another little beardie whose sex is undetermined. He will chase after the littler one and bite down on his head. He does this a lot and I don't know if it's a dominance thing or not.

Is it bad for a dog to live at two houses? She's lived at one house her whole life(she's 1 1/2) so would it be bad for her to suddenly have two houses. I've talked to people and some say that she would be fine and some say that it is really bad for her. I just want her to be okay! Thanks!

I have a 29 gallon tank with a 55 gallon external power filter, air bubbler, 2" natural colored gravel, rock hideouts, and plastic plants. It has 3 2" fantail goldfish currantly, from nose to tip of tail. I just tested the water and it was very acidic and alklanik. I added some buffers and did a 25 percent water change. It had zero nitrite, but a caution level nitrate. I found a water/cleaner soaked wash cloths on top of my filter box, and suddenly my one/ maybe two fish are sick. The first being my smallest fish Claire. She has not developed a pot belly shape yet and has been hovering at the surface of the tank for a few days now, but has had a normal appetite. They get fed twice a day with tetra goldfish flakes. Her fins are sometimes clamped and she has developed some red spots on her stomach. The bigger one is on the right size and is a about a circular cm wide/big. The scales in that spot are a light gold/white and are rimmed with red. When her fins are near her body they appear

....round dogs nails so that they can't scratch themselves. Despite me clipping/trimming my 8 month old Chihuahua's nails they are so sharp that she cuts herself when she scratches an itch.
What's the best way to round them off so they are smooth?

My cat's name is Gwen (true name Lady Guinevere Queen of Camelot - no joke!) She's the baby of another cat we've got and she's lived with us forever. She's almost 2 years old now and still eats kitten food. She makes wailing noises all the time and rolls about like some kind of baby. Is it just attention seeking or is something wrong with her? Could she be mentally damaged or something?

I have my betta in a tank with 7 neon tetras, 3 corydora catfish, and a pleco. Everyone gets a lot fine and there is no problems. I did have an angel fish but he chased my betta and nipped his fins which gave him fin rot(I have treated my tank for fin rot and I'm hoping it worked). My betta normally swims around and but today I noticed he will go to the bottom and sit on the bottom next to the plants. Is this normal betta behavior? they get fed everyday, my water is the right temperature, and nothing has changed. I checked my PH an Amonia levels yesterday and everything is normal. The only thing that hasn't been done is my 25% water change which is normally done on sundays. Does anyone have any ideas or thoughts? thanks!

I have a beagle who has had a litter of five. We gave two away today. The other four puppies (out of the five) have always been rambunctious and playful but this one has always been sleepy all the time and doesn't like to move about. They are all about 8-9 weeks old. I'm wondering if because they're still young that this is normal that this one puppy doesn't want to play. I've gone on Answers and looked up different things to see what others have to say about other people's questions about sleepy and unplayful puppies but it hasn't quelled my worries that something is wrong with this puppy. It seems to eat well and it DEFINITELY sleeps a lot but it seems to be the only one that sleeps all day. When it isn't sleeping it just lays there and blinks up at me. I try to encourage it to play but it just doesn't seem to want to.

Please Help!

I have heard it is ok for rabbits to eat guinea pig food but not the other way around. Besides giving them fresh fruits and veggies and lots of hay.

I'm a college junior and am living at home to help my parents financially. The problem is that one of the reasons i wanted to leave the house is that it is filthy and filled with dog urine. All the carpets in the house are stained different shades of yellow, and its gross to walk on. I always wear socks. Even the fake wood floors we installed are warping. We have five dogs, all dachshunds, all male. Two are neutered and old, both who I don't think are the problem, although they do poo on the floor every so often. The problem is the other three. They aren't neutered, and my mom says its too late to do it as it wouldn't make a difference. The oldestis about 5 years old, and is the worst. Sometimes he refuses to go outside. One of the others is his son, 3 years, and the third isn't related, 1 or 2. My mom won't neuter them. Is there anything I could do? I'd like to replace the carpets without having the new ones peed on.

One of them is less than a year old and the other is about 6 years old. The 6 year old is very skiddish because she was battered as a youngster and she does not respond well to confined spaces (like the carrier) and neither of them really like the car. I have heard that sedating them could be harder on them but looking at the older cats situation would it be?
