You can...but it really does not have any nutritional value...just empty calories. If you are trying to get rid of the bread go ahead...but if you are buying it specifically to feed birds you are better off offering bird seed or suet.

I used to do it all the time as a kid, and the birds loved it. Now, of course, I have four feeders and spend all kinds of money giving those feathery critters the best seed I can find. Oh well. God Bless you.

I used to do it all of the time. Now I just give them bird seed. My cats love to watch them from inside the house.

well, you can feed bread to stray birds like pigons, but i don't think bread is good for tamed birds

Make sure its out of reach from prying cats though

We feed the birds lots of scraps and they particularly like bacon rind

sure if they like it but u can get bird seed on sale quite often

yes.....unless you put poison with it... nothing wrong with feeding the birds with bread

yeah i geuss so. I put out stale bread for ducks and they seem fine.
