Good grief at the answers.
Odds are they are breeding but with 7 in the tank the babies are getting eaten before you see them. That's not really so uncommon.

Check and see if you have males and females! The males pectoral fin (the fin underneath his belly) is long and thin like a pencil. The females is fan-shaped. It's that simple. Then follow the other's advice--they may be young, make sure your aquarium has the right conditions, etc. Also, when the females are pregnant, their bellies get big and you can see little black spots (the babies eyes) in their bellies (on the orange moms, anyway). Hope this helps.

renaissance:
please, do not give rubbish advice.
platies are livebearers not egg layers, if they are your life then you are doing something sadly wrong.
livebearers WILL breed, try to stop them.....one mating can produce up to 6 or 7 pregnancies for the female. if kept in a mixed tank i would be surprised if none are/have been pregnant but not mature enough to carry them yet.
also, the young will be eaten once dropped so they need plenty of hiding places.

fishes only breed if they feel comfortable in their environment. give your fishes a while to adjust and feel at ease with their new tank. if they still won't breed, maybe you're just extremely unlucky and they're all males or all females (chances of that are 2 in 128, so probably not)

You need to adjust your thermostat to at least 30 celcius to allow spawn to continue growth. Also, make sure you have lots of plants in your tank for the platties to relax and lay eggs, and remember to check them throughly.
Its also the case that even if the spawn hatch, the parents will eat them. This is why you need to either put the spawn in a seperate tank, and take away the parents. And then you need to feed the babies special food.... so its not so easy!

You can't force fish to breed. If they don't want to breed there's nothing you can really do about it. You can try just keeping them together but if they don't want to breed, they won't.

They probably arn't old enough to breed. Wait a while and they will probably start breeding. Also they may have already had babies and the babies may have gotten eaten.

you'll have to be patient. maybe they're not ready yet...
maybe they're still young. or maybe your tank condition needs some improvements to make 'em more comfortable...
