We were given a glider's cage and it needs a scrubbing & we'd like to give it a fresh coat of paint. What type of paint will be okay regarding their health, in case they chew on it, etc?? Also, the female is carrying at least one joey (new for us). Any special care for her?? Any other newbie glider tips greatly appreciated - thanks...

Hi. I took my cat to the vet today bc he had an abcess on his face (apparently he's a bad fighter--yes he's neutered, he just apparently sucks at fighting!!) He's had this several times before but this time the doc didnt have to lance it, he just pushed and it popped. He got most of the gunk out but it's still draining. I'm supposed to give him oral antibiotics and put this neosporin-like ointment in his wound. Here's my question, I'm supposed to help drain the wound a couple of times a day and twice a day put this ointment IN the wound. Does anyone have an suggestions on how i can help do this without beign clawed to death?? Its all pretty gross but I want him to get better but I'm picturign how in the heck to put this ointment in without him clawing me like crazy. I know to scruff him and wrap him in a towel and I"ll have my hsuband to help but if anyone has any other ideas, I'd appreciate it!!!

For bettas, do they have to have a specific sort of water treatment? I used "Splended Betta" brand for a while, but I'm running low on that now and was wondering if I can use any brand of water conditioner for them. I mean, all brands just dechlorinate the water, right?

We have about a 1000 gallon pond with a huge bubble under the liner and we figure we need to get all of the water out, so we need to know what is a safe amount of time to have the fish in the container. I don't want to fix the pond and then have all of my fish dead. Any help on how to get the air bubbles out is also appreciated. Thanks.

If I leave my cat with the Humane Society, and let them know she doesn't like being picked up (lifted), does that automatically disqualify her for adoption, and qualify her for euthanasia? She's a good girl in fine health , but was originally a feral cat, which we trained. She's fine around people, but hates being picked up.

Sweetie (f) is possessive, territorial, demanding, aggressive, and just likes to stay close to me and stare into my eyes.

Bos (m) is cool and calm, not overbearing, can't/won't look me in the eyes more than 1 second, turns his head, but he's also very cuddly and likes to be near me, but isn't all over me like Sweetie, who lives to lick.
Is there a pattern of male/female dog behavior?

Me and my mom are real scared of rats. We used to see them in our garage quite a bit. Several years ago,we took in 3 adorable stray kittens. And I have not seen a rat or mouse at our house,since then. Does anyone else believe having cats can scare rodents away?

i was given a very small kitten today, no one seems to know how old he is....any one know how to tell/guess?
he still has puss in his eyes, he is only about 2 1/2 inches tall and about 51/2 inches long....he's soo cute though!!
