his eyes are open, it's just that his right eye gets sort of a green puss around it...and his teeth are already in..so i know he can chew, i just don't want to risk feeding him the wrong foods too early.
he's walking and pawing at things...he seems pretty healthy besides hie eye.
he was infested with fleas, so i treated him with a bath.
i'm just trying to get a guess at how old he is.. it's somewhere between 3-6 weeks, he just seems so much smaller than my first cat was when i first got her.

Hes probably under three weeks old thats about the time they open their eyes. Wipe his eyes with a warm rag.
You can get formula at any pet store, powdered is usually better and lasts longer. Make sure to read the directions and give the proper amount per day to the cat according to weight. You should be feeding him around four five times a day. Wake him up if you need too. Make sure the hole in the nipple is big enough to get milk through but not too big where it'll flood his mouth.
The cats probably wont feed since they're already used to their mother, but to make it easier, wrap the bottle in a warm rag and make sure the formula is body temperature. Wipe them down frequently with a warm rag to simulate them to pee. Keep him in a warm dark area until about a week or two after his eyes have opened.

Are his eyes OPEN or are they just starting to open? If they're open and 'pussy' he may be sick so you'll need to take him to a VET right away. If he's just starting to open his eyes then he's WAY TOO YOUNG to be away from his mother ... but you can buy 'cat formula' at any good pet store, and get a 'doll bottle' to feed it with if they don't have a 'cat bottle' at the pet store. When you've had the kitten at least 6 weeks, you may 'stop' giving it botttles ONLY if it is 'eating food from a bowl ... and the 'first food' should be 'kitten food' mixed with formula 50/50 ... and make is 'more food and less formula' slowly over three weeks until it's eating 'straight food' before you 'take away it's bottle.' Your kitten may die though if you don't 'rub it's tummy with a warm wet cloth after every feeding and 'clean up' it's poo and pee ... it's too small to 'go to a litter box' and that is what a mom cat would do with her babies ... so be very CAREFUL and get an adult to help you with your 'baby' and I'll say a prayer for the both of you.

Where did this kitten come from? It's far too young to already be weaned and should be with its mother. If not then yes, you will need to bottle feed it. Call your vet and get there ASAP. They can probably recommend products to feed the kitten or have whatever there that you can buy. If you can't afford this then please call your local Humane Society. They have volunteers that are experienced with fostering tiny kittens like this.
Personally I wouldn't attempt this if you don't know what you're doing. A kitten can easily die if not given the right kinds of foods at the right intervals. Also please keep this kitten COMPLETELY away from any other cats in your home until after it has seen a vet and been testing for Feline Leukemia - a deadly, incurable disease that if this kitten was found as a stray - odds are is carrying.

A kitten should never have puss in it's eyes. If the kitten can not walk but crawls then it should be given formula.
You should be able to find formula at any pet store. If you can't fine formula then get goats milk either fresh or canned to give it. If you don't have a small animal bottle you can try using a regular human infant bottle.

A vet can help you with how old your kitten is. If he is not eating on his own I would have to say that is may be under 4 weeks of age. If you need to get him formula you can purchase it at a local pet store and I believe Wal-Mart sells it too. I would also have a vet check his eyes, for any type of infection. Although some kittens may have a bit of crust in the corner of the eyes, any type of puss that is discolored may indicate infection.
Good luck with your baby!

Any pet store will have formula or formula base that you can use, as well as bottles adapted for feeding kittens.
I'd advise taking the kitten to the vet ASAP to learn his age and how best to care for him. That small may indeed be too young to be away from Mom, so you'll have some work on your hands!

I would take him to the vet to find out for sure. Try taking kitten food and add water to soften it. Umm ... my kitten was about that size when I found her and the vet said that she was roughly 8 weeks old. If the kitten doesn't seem to be eating the moistened kitten food very well you can get formula and bottles at your local pet store. We have a petsmart that has it, also our local Wal-Mart sells it in the pet food section. You can go to www.kittenwise.com and sign up, they send you updates and give advise on nutrition and activities.

Offer the kitten soft food and milk and if he does not eat or drink then go get the formula to feed him. You can get the formula at any pet stores. You will have to get a bottle of course. If he has to have formula then you will want to feed him at least three times a day and continue to offer him the soft cat food.

I used to possess 2 cats. My mum and dad would not allow me get a cat till I reached the age of 10. I've heard a few experiences of the cats fur suffocating youngsters after they sleep. Although I consider such a lot are exagerated. If you do purchase a kitten and check out to maintain it clear of the youngsters room's it is going to be really rough due to the fact that cats are very quiet. I love cats, nevertheless it might be wise to attend, specifically due to the fact that you have got a one yr historic.

Most pet stores sell kitten formula - feed him with a bottle, and call a vet to see what other accomodations you should make.
