i purchased two orange colored cichlids 6 months ago with in the last week one of them has lost there color... i am wonder whats wrong with him/her or if this is normal

You wouldn't consider this to be a backyard horrible breeder would you?

-Cares for each puppy as own
-Does not show.
-Has the dogs inspected by vet and checked.
-Does NOt NOT NOT breed for money.
-Checks up on the puppies every month after they leave and make sure that if the new owners cannot keep the pup it returns straight back.
-Has healthy dogs and pups
-Only breeds their female once every two years.
-Takes the pups to the vet for check ups or if they become ill.
-Helps the female deliver pups if needed.

Also nothing to do with breeding but shows they understand what happens to pound dogs.
-Volunteers at the local shelters.
-Donates and raises money for the shelters.

Would you consider that to be a horrible self centered backyard breeder?

For all of those that think mandatory spay and neuter laws should be put into effect like the one in California, where do you suppose we will get dogs from? Considering that puppymills and commercial breeders move dogs at a much higher rate then the enthusiast that breed for the betterment and love of the breed, I guess that is where all future dogs will come from. What do you think??

aquarium plants are plastic
the light is on at night from 9pm-7pm
it is very hard to scrub off each leaf
stays clean for about 20 days

My cat Petey was born in October 1994, so that makes him about 13...is that considered old for cats? We adopted him when he was four and I love him so much. He sleeps more often and has a bit of arthritis in his right shoulder, but he's healthy. Still, I keep scaring myself and thinking "omg, omg, he's getting older. What if I only have one more year with him?" So how old is old for cats? Does it depend on certain types of cats? (He's a tabby...) How long are cat's lifespans usually if they are healthy?

Please help me. I bought a male beta fish the other day. I set up his tank, conditioned the water, had it at the right temp. everything was prepared correctly. Then two days later the fish was dead as a doorknob. What kind of fish can I get that won't keel over anytime soon? I have a 1.5 gallon tank so I probably only need 1 or 2 small fish.

my golden retiever got attacked 2 weeks ago by a staffie. this dog got hold of its neck and wouldnt let go. the owner of the staffie had no control over her dog. she is refusing to pay vet bills. beacause the staffie didnt bit a human the police or rspca dont want to know. i have the papers for the civil courts, i know the ladys address but need her name and i am struggling with this, can anyone help. i am hoping i can claim back vet bills and put a control order on this dog so he can not attack anther dog again.

Are Bearded Dragons nice? I'm about to get my first reptile and I'm thinking a bearded dragon because they are calm and I've been around a lot of them. My boyfriend has one and just the other day I put my hand in the tank and he bit my finger and wouldn't let go! My boyfriend and I hand feed him green grapes all of the time and my boyfriend thinks that he bit me because maybe he thought I was trying to feed him a grape. Could someone just give me their opinions. I don't want to be afraid of them cuz I really like them. Oh and it's a baby beardie so idk if that might have anything to do with it. Please Help. Thanks

our 3yr old is spayed and wants to go out at night so i was wondering if thats normal because i keep on hearing how cats roam looking for a mate

we got her from spca and they told us she was spayed she is 3 yrs old and im just going by what they told us, would they have examined her or something, we are going to take her for chipping soon but i mean is the spca right? it was also listed that she is an indoor cat which turned out to be not true at all because she just wants to go out at night and went out and found her way back home

so do spayed cats go out at night too?

i have a tank with about a million guppies in it, ranging from 2 months to a year old. i've recently put some female bettas in with the guppies. the bettas showed some aggression towards the guppies, and some of the guppies have lost their fins as a result. will the bettas kill my guppies... thanks

Do you think it should be much harder to get large snakes, like boa constrictors? I feel it should be illegal (or at the very least strictly controlled) to keep such dangerous animals. most people that get them don't seem to be able to cope with the huge size they get. proof of this is in florida where there is now a breeding boa constrictor population just from the pets people have released. what do you think about this problem? thanks for your opinions.
