Depends on your accent.

I was taught

tray KAH nur

But i have also heard

TREK uh nur

and I'm sure there are all sorts of other pronunciations.

BTW - if you're ever in/around Champaign/Urbana Illinois, call the Vet School for a tour of the Trakehners they have there. Some of the country's best. Oh, and very nice staff. Just be sure to schedule an appointment.

I've always understood the pronunciation to be TRA-K-NER. It is a German breed of horse (often called the German Thoroughbred, although strictly speaking it is not a Thoroughbred). Perhaps asking someone who speaks German would help clear it up!

(trake-kuh-ner) But the 'kuh' part is very very soft and can barely be heard- it blends in with 'trake.' But it may be pronunced differently based on where you live- but heres thats how we do it :]
