female bettas with guppies?

Question

i have a tank with about a million guppies in it, ranging from 2 months to a year old. i've recently put some female bettas in with the guppies. the bettas showed some aggression towards the guppies, and some of the guppies have lost their fins as a result. will the bettas kill my guppies... thanks

Normally it wouldn't be a problem, but you seem to indicate the tank is fairly full so it's not a surprise that some nipping would go on. It's really hard to say how far it would go since that's related to how full the tank is and how much room the guppies have to get out of the way.

yes, they will go after your guppies, it is absolutely not recommended putting them together because the guppies have longer fins, so the bettas go after them and also the other way around
I would take out your bettas and get another tank
you can put your bettas together with ballonmollies, zebra danios, platies, everything that has no fancy fins

Well not normally but with the info that you gave me I would say that it is possable, so i would get another tank for your bettas and leave your guppies along.

probably because you have about a million guppies in the tank. bettas, particularly females but males too, make peaceful community fish generally, but they do like their space.

yes they will and i sucgest you get another tank just for the betta

Probably. Bettas generally don't like other fish with flowing fins.

Useally there nice to other fish.but sice there fin niping i would take them out.They will edventuly kill some.As i said you should take them out.Good luck!
