okay hello.i have two goldfishes.one big one small. the big one started having white spots on its tail and body yesterday and the small one is starting to have white spots too.Anyone know what this means or what it will cause?will my fish die?By the way, i have two other little fish and the tank is jnot large its about halve of a microwave.

I added 3 new platties to my new fish tank about a week ago. Everything seemed to be fine up until yesterday. My yellow platty first starting hiding and only coming out when the light was off. Now it's laying on the bottom of the tank sucking on the rocks..? Also, my orange one is often floating on the top of the tank in the corner. I have no idea if this is normal or if it's a sickness. Someone help?

My dog had a serious pancreatitis attack about a month ago. He is doing fine now and is off all people foods and is on science diet lite to lose weight and to avoid a recurence of the pancreatitis. I would like to give him some kind of bone and I don't know what kind would not upset his tummy. He has had no problems with new diet since he returned from hospital 3 weeks ago. Hi - I have a 120 lb Bull Mastiff that has food allergies. She is allergic to: Eggs, Fish Mix, Wheat, White Potato, Poultry Mix, Flax, and Rice. I have been checking online for the past few days for any dog food out there that does not contain these ingredients and I haven't found anything. I was wondering if anyone has any recomendations? The fleas are only located on his head, around his eyes, around his mouth and such places.
And they are attached to his skin.
They are black and very visible.
Whats the best flea treatment I can buy from my local drug store/pharmacy.

The growth is on one of the toe pads. It grew out on the side of it and the color and texture is the same as the pad, but it is like a very tiny leaf with overlapping flaps. It's no thicker than 2mm and it is about 6-7 mm in length and about 5mm in width. What is it? It looks quite harmless. Can I wait and see before rushing to the vet?

We've had her and her sister a week and a half. So I guess they're 10 weeks old. Anyway we didn't have their usual food when we got them so we bought a less expensive brand and it didn't agree with either of them. One even started throwing up. Well the throwing up stopped but one still has "the runs" the vet said that her cultures came back negative. We've tried different brands and types of food and nothing seems to help. Anyone ever had this problem am I not giving it enough time with one brand?

The short story is...

My betta died sometime today, I've lost four zebra danios in the last week-and-a-half, and my red fire dwarf gourami is on his way to the big fish tank in the sky. I just performed an emergency water test and found chlorine, ammonia, and nitrites at zero and my nitrates are at about 5. My temp is at 79F (same temp it's been at since day one). Water changes about every 5-7 days, since it's an established tank (4+ months). I am hoping you can help me save my red dwarf gourami with your fish intelligence. Right now (and for the last few days) he has been quarantined in a little breeder net box on the inside of the tank. I came home today and thought he was dead because he was lying on his side on the bottom of the box. After poking the net near where he was lying with an eyedropper, he started moving a little bit but now he is down there again. It seems he has trouble staying afloat. He manages to swim to the top, but floats back down again. Additional details ...

Now that our horses are out on grass, our pony does not let anyone catch him. Even after all the other horses are in, and the bugs are bad, he won't come. Before, I could just chase him for 10 minutes and he'd be tired and come to me, but now, even after chasing him for a half and hour he still won't come. I'm tired of running :P.. He can't be scared of us, he has no reason to. I think its just the grass. Does anyone have any advice on how to catch him?

OK, for my birthday, my friend gave me a beta fish. I'm young, and my friend didn't ask my parents if she could get me the fish. I didn't really want a fish. My cats are probably going to eat the fish, so he has to stay in my room, witch is a big pain. My mom says I should give my friend the fish, and ask her to get me a different present. What should I do?? BTW, we are going on a 2 week trip in acouple of days, and we don't have anyone to wacth the fish.

My goldfish has been lying on his back on the bottom of the tank for a few days now. I looked at him closer today and it sems like his fins are rotting. He can still kind of move, but very rarely and not for more than a few seconds. What's the fastest and most humane way to kill it?

Against my better judgement we are keeping him for awhile. We fed him earth worms today, which he loved, and we have veggies on hand. We also got turtle food from the store.

My question is how do I keep him used to his natural environment and happy? We won't being keeping him for long, a couple of weeks tops. His habitat is a fish tank with dirt in the bottom tall grass to hide in and it seems like adequate space for sleeping and some of the day. If I take him out in the grass outside and let him forage around will he stay used to the environment? I don't want to hinder his natural senses but I don't want to release him just yet. We have ducks and something has been carrying them off. If it can do that to a duck it can surely do it to a turtle.
