As long as it's not damaged down into the flesh of the fish it will grow back completely given time. Do watch closely for any fuzzy looking areas that would indicate a fungus or any white areas along the edges that would indicate a bacterial infection invading the wound.

Of course, very clean water during the healing time will help to prevent both of these, as would the addition of 1 tablespoon of salt per 5 gallons of tank water.

Yes. With time, clean water and a comfortable habitat a betta's fins can grow back very quickly. Just three days ago my veiltail betta got a rip about an inch long in his fin from a snag on his driftwood that I didn't catch. I've been keeping his water really clean, added just one Indian Almond Leaf and he is fine now. However, if it was very bad (like, say, many rips in the finnage) it'd still grow back, just maybe not to its original glory.

I saved a betta from the petstore that had been accidently dropped in a tank with another betta! Mines tail fin was eaten off and it grew completley back. If it doesn't grow back on its own they do have stuff you can put in betta's bowls to make the fins grow back! So to answer your question Yes!

Yes it will.I had mine in a community tank with my other fish and for some reason my other fish bullied my betta and half his fins were gone. I was devestated cuz I thought he would die.He didnt and they completely grew back and he is just fine now.Just make sure u keep the water clean and fresh so his tail doesnt rot out or get infected and he die.

Yes and watch it carefully to make sure bacteria doesn't infect the places causing fin/tail rot.
