i have 2 male cats, both roughly the same age. Nimbus is declawed, while Moe isn't. I raised Nimbus since he was only a few months old, I adopted Moe this year. Both cats are neutered.

One day Moe was sitting on the window sill and there was a cat outside that I presume was female. They started growling and yowling at each other. And then Moe tried to pounce on her, but he hit the window instead.

anyways after he hit the window. he started going crazy. he ran after Nimbus and attacked him. Moe was darting all across the room, chasing Nimbus trying to attack him, as if he was trying to kill him. When he stopped chasing Nimbus, he then attacked me scratching up my entire arm.

When he calmed down. i put him in his traveling cage as a 'time out' this has got me mad and upset, that my cat attacked me. i'm thinking about giving him away.

This is the second time this has happened. First time he injured Nimbus pretty badly. Why did Moe do all of this?

My little rescue Chihuahua wont stop scratching. He is soo itchy. We take him to the vets every 3 weeks, but to no avail. It is over and hour drive, with crazy hours, and first come first serve. And it is doing nothing for his itch. He is losing fur on his tail and legs. It isn't flea's he has top of the line bug protection. We wash his bedding every week, and give him baths at least once a week. He was and is eating a good food, first Nutro, now Iams. We are washing him with baby shampoo. We tried a viniger rinse jag, which did nothing. He is scratching 24/7 (quite litterally),and rubbing, and clawing himself raw. Why on earth is he itching and how can I stop it? Opinions, product reccomendations, and home remedies would be a huge a help. Thanks!

i just got back with another rescue! i don't think i will keep her but i'm already gettin attached 2 her, which is not hard as she is the sweetest thing! she is a 2 yrs old shih-tzu female who grew up in a pet shop in the back giving birth to puppy after puppy after puppy!! don't know exactly how many puppies but she looks like she has had 2-3 litters, has cattarax in 1eye, apparantly from a puppy scratching it, which i find hard to believe & now has started to develope a lump which feels like a hernia.
now i just took her as a foster child from the pet shop as they wanted LOADS of money 4her. 1/4 of what she would cost as a puppy. now i don't think it's rite. they want me to buy her but i mean i would have sooo many medical bills!!MUCH more than what i would pay 4 her. just don't know what 2 do? how do i get the shop 2give her 2me & pay 4 her bills. i would give her to some1 who really loves her but she is no beauty! :o) help!

I have a full blooded pit bull and all he does is chew he wont do it when we're home or awake tho. So we can never catch him in the act. I dont mind him chewing up his toys and we have rawhides for him also. Well almost everytime we come home he has the sheets and the comforter on the bed pulled back and he's started chewing a hole or was chewing on a hole that he previosly started. I also woke up today to find that he chewed up some stuffing out of a pillow that my parents got at a family reunion auction for 50.00 home made. And then I look over and see that he chewed a cord to a lamp that we have. We dont really use the lamp but he still should not have chewed it. It started w/ chewing my shoes and I gave him one shoe to chew on and he was content w/ that he left all the other shoes alone. Now he thinks he can chew everything. Why do you think my puppy is chewing? He is 8 mths old not neutered but he has his shots.

I see a lot of posts here about alpha rolls, etc. I have to laugh because the vast majority of the time, it is extremely apparent that the poster has little idea what they are talking about.

L. David Mech and his brother, Konrad Lorenz, Koehler, Karen Pryor (a student of B.F. Skinner. If you don't know who Mr. Skinner is, you don't know much about behavior), Suzanne Clothier, Ian Dunbar, are just a very, very small group of experts on dog behavior that I have read and studied. Training methods of this group vary.

So who do you think is one of the best trainers? In a nutshell how would you describe their training methods?

Currently feeding Canidae, but have read a lot of positives on Eagle. I dont believe Canidae contains much glucosamine/chondroitin, but it has a 21% crude protein. Eagle contains about 23% crude protein and has glucosamine HCL.

My cat, occasionally, vomits semi-digested food. Is this a sign that we are feeding her too much? Is this also a sign that she may be bored and eating out of boredom? The latter question sounds too human to be correct but that's why I'm asking. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi all, wehave had our puppy since she was 8 weeks old and she is great with my son except for this problem. If she is sleeping and my son goes over and pets her ( he is very gentle) she will let out a low growl. She has not snapped but I don't like it. I have spoken to and taken her to training classes since she was about 12 weeks old and so far the only advice I've gotten is to teach my son to let sleeping dogs lie. I understand this but still would like to stop it. she does not do it to me or my husband. When I correct her (usually grab the back of her neck by the fur and scold her) she looks genuinley bewildered almost as if she doesn't realize what she's done. Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions? When she's awake they can wrestle and run and play and she never shows any signs of aggression. Oh she is a yellow labrador.

Hi, my puppy sometimes rubs his bottom on the floor and sometimes yelps. I called the vet who says that it's probably a blocked anal gland, I have an appointment to see the vet tomorrow. I'm just a bit worried, has anyone come across this before, is it serious? also, are rawhide chews safe to give to a 4 month old pup?
