Jack Russels are very nice dogs. Very smart as well. They are very active dogs though, tons of energy. If you are looking to get one, it would be really good if you have a nice size yard for them to run and play in. Also, giving them lots of exercise will help keep them from getting into things they shouldn't. :) Wonderful dogs :)

I had a jack russel and he was an excellent dog! He was so smart and could do tricks, but the only bad thing was that as a puppy he was always into everything and liked to chew things up. He grew out of that and became such a good boy!
I would have another jack russel anytime.

Yes Jack Russels are very nice dogs. They are smart, loyal, happy dogs. They are active, and do like to jump, but if that's a problem, just train them not to jump on you, it's worked fine with mine. She jumps when told too, but not when I walk through the door. I'm not very tall and sometimes she would jump so high, she'd almost bite my face! So, I had to train her not to jump. :) She's great though. Very smart. And she's not a very yappy dog like some small breeds.

They are very nice dogs but they are very HIGH energy dogs. They are not for an apartment or to be locked up all day. They need a lot of affection. They like to bounce and spring and run. They are an out door dog. They are a working type of dog that is what they are bred for.

My roommate had a Jack Russell, he was VERY active, VERY yappy and loved to play... If you have a lot of energy yourself that's great, otherwise.... I don't think it's kind of dog to be left on its own alot, your neighbours may begin to hate you!!

Yes they are very good dogs. They have lots of energy and love to jump on you. If they aren't used to being around other people they can be very protective of their owner. But I have two and they are great dogs. I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Yeah they are wonderful dogs, They can be tempermental but they are loving and loyal.
I had a jack russell and he was adorable.
Now I have 2 king charles spaniels just to fill the void my lofty left

nice and very smart dogs. However, they are very high energy and need lots of attention. They love to jump up and greet their owners and company when entering the house.
