Keep her in a crate all the time and then take her out to go potty. She more than likely will NOT go potty where she sleeps. It's not cruel to do this and keeping them in a crate is a good idea when you are away, they aren't going to do anything anyway except sleep.

Don't use the potty pads, it only trains them to go in that spot! When you take the pads away, they will go where they were!!!

Crate, crate, crate! We learned the hard way.

For me it was so easy. I have a year old puppy now yet when I brought her home at seven weeks. I put puppy pads on floor. I had to start with three spaced out. Then once she knew to hit the pad. I would praise her. I would remove one pad the next week. Then the next week the other pad. I finally moved the last pad each week a little at a time. Till I had it where I wanted it to be. Now she goes on pad or outside. She was wonderful to train. I do not use the puppy pads for dogs though. I use the pads for adults with bladder problems. At foodlion it cost about five bucks for a stack. less expensive than the puppy pads I found. Well I hope it works out. I know it is a challenge. Good luck

How old is your puppy? When my dog was still a puppy, I take him out every 2-3 hours and I give him a treat everytime he does it outside. I also have a weewee pad by the kitchen and if I can't take him outside I put him in the kitchen and when he pees on the pad I give him a treat and praise him like I won the lotto or something. Good Luck it takes time but your puppy will learn.

You MUST cover up all the urine stains in your home where she went. She smells the urine in the house and is inclined to pee. Clean it up very well. Get urine removal cleaner from the pet store or put a dish over it.

Next time she pees, soak up some urine in a newspaper. This is called paper-training.

When you go out, you lay down the newspaper and you let her sniff. She should go. Right now she is not smelling the urine outside, depending on where you take her, but smells a lot of it in your home. This makes her go in the home.

I've always liked crate training. Get a crate small enough for your dog so she can't pee in one corner and sleep in another. After she eats/drinks, put her in the crate. Let about 30 mins pass then take her out. If she does not go, back in the crate for an hour or so. Then back out. In other words, You don't give her an opportunity to pee unless its out. She will then begin associating peeing with outside.

When the dog is alone in the home, it should be in the crate until it learns not to go in the house.

Dogs will not pee/poo where they sleep, so that's how this works. You deleniate outside from the inside.

You have to stay outside with her until she goes. Then praise her effusively.

Another way, is to take something that she has soiled, and take it outside to the place you want her to potty. Since she's not potty trained yet, you should never let her run around the house without watching her. She's just like a baby. You wouldn't let a baby human wander around your living room without a diaper on, would you? Crate her if you aren't able to watch her.

I disagree with animal whisperer. It is ok to scold the puppy, when you find the puppy "went" in the house, take the puppy to the site, show the puppy..and say firmly "no" the dog is never going to learn that this is bad if you don't tell her so. When she does go outside, give treats, hugs and kisses, so she knows what she is doing is right...and remember to be consistent...also..when scolding..don't get angry at the puppy, just remain firm and assertive!!
Best of luck to you and your puppy!!

Use positive reinforcement. To do this you have to stay outside until she goes to the bathroom. As soon as she does start going crazy with the praise and treats. She'll start to know that going outside will get her lots of positive attention and treats! Shouldn't take more than a day or two. But in order for it to work, you have to stay out with her until she goes! Good luck with your new puppy!

first ingredient to keep in mind is -- it takes time and relentless artwork to coach a canine to do what we could like him to do. yet this is the way I easily have accomplished it for years, and it works properly. you will choose small treats, and a seize word used basically for potty time -- so huge woman would be what i'm utilising here. you will desire a schedule - like taking her out each and every hour. keep in mind, whilst a puppy wakens from a snooze they could bypass outdoors top away. additionally, if she is walking around sniffing on the floor, this is many times an illustration she has to bypass out. Take the canine out (on a leash is premier, yet you do in spite of is mushy). do no longer confer with the canine, yet permit it bypass around and sniff. as quickly because of the fact the canine is going to the bathing room, at recent say huge woman and supply a handle, make fairly of a fuss. supply her an threat to poop, in case you think of she could could. After some days of this, and whilst she seems to be catching on, you may inspire her to bypass by utilising asserting huge woman some situations until eventually now she is going.. i would not confer together with her in any different case, yet in simple terms permit her communicate approximately going to the bathing room. back, say huge woman at recent whilst she is going, and supply a handle. It would not take too long for a puppy to realize they gets a handle whilst they bypass to the bathing room for you outdoors. on an identical time as you're practise, if she is going interior or starts to, in simple terms take her out at recent. if reality learn, canines do no longer "get it" that this is incorrect to bypass interior the living house whilst they have by no potential been knowledgeable until eventually now, so self-discipline is ineffective.
