I just got a BLACK (w/ white belly) Baby GIRL Chinchilla. I have no clue what to name it.....I thought Ninja...and Cabera...but I dont think they fit her....help me!

Betta lives in filtered 1gallon tank-I'll try the 'feeding him a pea' to see if it IS actually a swim bladder problem-the last time I took him to the pet store was fore clowdyeye/red flaring (like a rash) on his gills that looked suspicious to me-I clean his tank very well and try to make a few water changes every 4or6 days.

Does that help for you guys helping me??

3 weeks ago I asked a ? on here about buying two Angels to go with the one I had....so I did buy two and here I am 3 weeks later watching one of the angels chase off some of the other fish in the tank ....then I just stuck my hand in to move a deco. that had tipped over and she attacked me ......now that I'am looking a little closer at the tank I see what looks like small tapioca on a large leaf ....duhh.... she seems to guarding it with one of the new Angels ....duhhhhh....so I guess I have eggs????? I just removed the unwanted third Angel and 3 Danios that kept being chased.....so, if this is in fact eggs/fry will the parents continue to guard them and take care of the fry???......I guess I need to do some research inline but I thought I would get some good advice from all of you first

I am considering purchasing the red bellied piranha but do not want to be limited in just owning piranha's in my tank. I know I am at risk by having any other fish in there but I was considering adding Baracuda's and Sting Rays......... Any suggestion?
Is this possible?


Is there any other type of fish that they can co-exist with ?

I will be going on vacation with my family for 2 weeks. We can't take our cat with us and my parents refuse to pay a cat sitter. No one in my family will be able to care for him, will he be ok alone outside for 2 weeks? What kind of precautions should I take? Any suggestions would be great!

Don't get me wrong... I prefer for my dog to have off leash exercise. It is better for her and she is more tired afterward making her a better canine citizen... But my experience has shown that dog parks are dangerous places where many people bring their unsocial, aggressive dogs. I've been to a total of 7 dog parks between Columbus and Cincinnati and the experience has not differed from place to place.

It is normally about a 50/50 ratio between dogs that have little to no training and are completely out of control, and well rounded, social dogs that are very appropriate. But as the saying goes... one bad apple ruins the bunch. To me this "movement" seems mis-guided, and I feel it is actually encouraging irresponsible pet ownership.

i just got my aquarium today and i filled it up with water and put the filter on. but when i plug it in, it doesn't suck up any water and circulate it through. i left it on for probably an hour and it still didn't do anything. am i supposed to let it run for a while? or is there something i'm doing wrong? i can hear the motor running, but the tube that goes into the water doesn't pull up any water. the part that pulls up the water is completely submerged in the water also. it is an aquatech filter, if that helps.

Last night after having just awoke, my boxer's head began bobble around for a couple of minutes. This has happened again today after her nap. I've researched it and have learned that this is fairly common in Boxers and Bulldogs. I was wondering if any boxer or bulldog owners out there have experienced these tremors in their dogs. I'll be contacting my vet on Monday, but from what I've read it is reletively harmless. Please tell me what you know.

one gold fish with 4 other koi. that have been living together for along time. but today i found BJ (goldfish) laying sideways. i took him out and put him into a little bowel to make sure it was not sick. he is still breathing but sideways on the rocks. i tested the ammonia and it is find at 0ppm. is there anything you can help me with.

I seen a really pretty topical fish it was blue and had a little spot on top of its head that was a peachy, pink color. It was in with I think it was something called fruit Mixed Tetra. With out a picture any one have any idea's what it may be. It really didnt look like any of the other fruit mix tetra in the tank. Thanks

So my dog pulled a muscle in his front leg playing outside today, and one of my girlfriends told me to try and give him a tylenol wrapped up in cheese to help with any pain or discomfort he may have...He is 52lbs so I know the dosage wont hurt him, but do you think it's safe for him to take at all??? I have a question about my new ball that i havent seen asked or answered anywhere. I got my ball two days ago. i was lucky because he never stressed, in fact, he was hungry and took a mouse on day two. ironically, thats also the problem. the mouse was on the edge of the water bowl when Novakk!, my snake, struck it, and started to constrict it under water. i was worried theyed both drown. i moved them onto the bark again... and he finished and ate it... but seriously - wtf? should i worry about that happening again? is that a normal kill technique? is my snake just clumsy... or can they hold their breath? sorry if dumb. but i couldnt find anything on that anywhere... answers would be greatly appreciated.. thanks

He sleeps in our bedroom closet which is very big, open and airy. What can I use as a home remedy (besides red pepper!) Maybe some kind of scent, so it wouldnt feel so inviting. I have a brand new hand-made comforter that I dont want to see covered with dog hair. Yes, I could cover it, but I shouldnt have to. Sorry....But I expect the same respect from my dogs as I do my children.
