My horse's old leaser started teaching him but never got the chance to finish, im not sure exactly how far she got so i just want to start teaching him from scratch.

I occasionally see them advertised in my newspaper and I'm intrigued by them, but I don't know about their care and feeding. Do they roam free in the house? Are they good with cats and small children? What do they eat? Any advice, pros and cons, would be appreciated. Do they have health issues? Do vets know how to take care of them if they get sick or do wellness check-ups like shots? If they're like ferrets, I don't want one!

I feel like I want a dog...please? I was playing with a dog named Sparky today and I loved him[or her]...its such a shame that in the book No Dogs Allowed by Bill Wallace the girl Kristine wouldn't even accept her Papa's dog birthday present. If I was her I would have loved the dog...maybe I want a dog bad but I can't!!!!!!! Too bad we live in a stinking apartment, with people on the floor under us who smoke when we're gone...our closets smell like cigarette smoke! Will you send me pics of dogs please? I WANT A DOG OR A PUPPY!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! SHEESH IF WE HAD A REAL HOUSE I MIGHT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET A DOG ANYWAY SINCE DOGS AREN'T ALLOWED HERE.......WAAAH....OK WHAT DO I DO?????

Would a protein skimmer, such as the one seen here (http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/204173/i/2/product.web), work fine for a 20-30 gallon tank? I don't want anything too advance, I'm just planning on using it for a few months with 2-3 small fish until I setup a 55 gallon tank. It just seems too cheap; the ones we sell at Petco go for around $200+.

Gucci is 5 years old and she injured her knee joint! She limps and we have had her looked at and they say surgery will lay her up for 5 weeks and it might be best to see how she does without it. Her foot is atrophying due to her not using it as much and I can't stand to see her limp anymore. What are the risks....How much is surgery and what should I do. They also said there is no guarentee she will be better and might be in pain after all is said and done. She is peppy...but knows she is injured and her quality of life is not 100%. Please dont say put her down because it is not an option. I can let her limp or get surgery...its her right back leg....Any advice would be appreciated. She loves to run around but when I let her...she acts like she is not injured and then later she limps worse and it makes me feel terrible. She is a terrior lab mix 35 lbs. Her sister is a chow and wants to play with her and she cant really play too much without suffering the consequences later.

I think it would go a long way to helping with the pet overpopulation. Alot of people refuse to get their pets altered because they dont agree with de-sexing them, or they dont want to spend a lot of money at once. If there was birth control for dogs I think alot more people would use it. Is it impractical? impossible? or why haven't they developed such a thing as of yet?

I set up a new 55 gal. I wiped out the tank with a new towle when I got it. Rensed the rocks and filled it up. Now I have micro bubbles every where on the sides of the tank on the rocks

I want to get a farm some day and I want lots of animals. I really love ducks and want to have a pond with a family of ducks. Can a person have "pet ducks?" I realize they aren't a domesticated type of animal, but I would want them to stick around. Is there duck feed? Do you make shelter for ducks? Can you keep them around or will they fly away during the cold months?

i have a 55 gallon freshwater fishtank. there is gravel, water, 2 15 watt lights, and a filter. i have already added the aquasafe dechlorinator. it has been up and running forabout three days now. the water is crystal clear and it doesnt smell at all. when is it safe for me to add plants? when can i add fish?
