Me & my family joke that my dog has a bottomless pit of a stomach. She gets fed a decent amount and even gets the occasional scrap from us at dinner. We don't over or underfeed her. Why does she still want food? Or is it just some dog thing to get as much food as they can?

Ok I have mollies. I have one white female with popeye now. The rest are fine. I am assuming that she was pushed into something. She doesnt seem to be stressing. Water quality is good. Doing water changes and adding salt. I have cured a beta that way. I don't want to medicate yet. Any other suggestions?

I just went to the shelter and adopted a dog.
They do not test it or give it a check up before putting it up for adoption.
So I took it to the vet and it says it has heart worm.

How much does it cost to get all the tests done and the meds...How much did it cost you?

I'm looking into getting a puppy, the breeder says the puppy is "pet quality" due to not having a perfect "bite". I'm pretty savvy with dogs, but I'm not sure exactly what this means.

we have about 50 comets and 20 Koi. How many more can we put in there. We have a comet and its side is bulging we think it is pregnant we put it in a tub in the basement. We were also wondering if the mom or any other comets or Koi will eat her babies. Does there have to be a male involved to have babies. because we got them for free and we arent sure if they kept the dad or not. should we keep the mom in the tub or seperater them Thanks a lot

My tank is a month old, we have several fish already....which I know some people don't agree with alot of you guys think we should of waited, I know. I took a water sample to the pet store today and the p.h. was at 8.0. What can I do to correct this. We do weekly h2o changes and dechlorinate the water- the water where I live is REALLY crappy. What should I do? The pet store recomends salt rocks??? How do I use them? My tank is 29 gallons with a bio wheel filter. We are doing 25% water changes and this is our first tank.

im not used to the groomers so im not sure what to expect but they messed up my dogs haircut and they left 2 big gashes or wounds behind her right ear.. and i assume its a clipper or razer burn .. also i think they mistreated her because when i first tried to pick her up to take her home she wouldnt let me pick her and she tried biting people.. she seemed soo scared.. is this normal? should i make a complaint ?

I got my money from "the bank of brother"!LOL!I have $23 dollars! which is enouph to get cat stuff!!!I am soooo excited!!!!!
whick includes food, dishes, litter(20lbs),litter box, litter bags, and litter scooper!!!i am set for about a month right?

I need to know more about cats though, so can u guys give me some advise?

i have no idea what to put in her cage for the babies (hay, blankets, towels) can you guys help me out. the last ones she had all died (5) and i had hay in there. she is about ready to have these and i need to know what to do to make sure she and the babies are comfortable!!

They adopted a 5 years old dog, thinking she was a golden retriver, after it got home it threw up everywhere on the sofa, car, and carpet. She also was having seizures, we took her to the Vet, he gaved medication to my parents, the seizure stoped and but the vomiting continued, after two month, we really don't know what to make of it, we returned her to the shelter..
So in this case, do you think it was my parent's fault for adopting her, it's the shelter's fault doesn't give us the info?
Is this mal-breeding that was done by the breeder?

I was walking by a local creek, and saw several clusters of crayfish claws and other gross stuff all stuck together and thought it might be poo of some sort of snake or bird..... or maybe they regurgitated it, i have no clue... i just thought it was interesting and wondered what it was.

my 3yr old horsefiel tortoise has a slightly dry carapace, i've been to the vet and he said she's healthy , a few people have said that i should rub olive oil into her shell, but i'm not sure thats the right thing to do wouldn't it burn the carapace when she's under her basking light?is there something else that would get rid of the dryness

My cat acts very strange at random moments. He will look at something that he has seen a million times, such as my bed, and be very scared of it. He will look jump backwards or jump about 3 feet in the air on all fours and then repeat the process a few times. He really gets scared if I touch him or move he will totally spaz out. Could he have an eyesight problem, be retarded, or just be a weird little dude?

I just noticed that my cat has what appears to be a large scratch on her cornea. The weird thing is that she is showing no signs of pain--not even squinting. She does get in pretty dramatic fights with my other cat at times, but they have been separated for several weeks now. What could this be? I'm not sure if this is worth mentioning, but she has unusually large round eyes (she's from Greece).

my parents would never buy me a horse. i have a decent amount of experiances with horses. there is a colt i go to visit. i call him Freedom. i make small talk to the owners and they know i visit him and love him so much. but the owners daughter is seling him. but he is 2,500 and he is a reg. paint. he is so amazing and i have known him since he was born. he has a special place in my heart. and i have develpod a special bond wiht him. he trust me and i love him. we play games and stuff it is so fun. my parents will never buy me a horse. i know we can affored it because my parents buy tons of fansy stuff. and we never have money trouble i just don`t know what to do. (i am not a little kid so no critisism plz) i have been riding and handling horses since i was five.and i know all about the boarding,vet,farrier,tack,food,vitamins,hay,equipment plus i have broken a horse before.

I work at a pet store and I keep getting customers asking about fiddler crabs. It seems that a teacher at a local elementary or middle school is giving away these crabs since they are learning about ecosystems.

I have been looking online for good care sheets with lots of info, and I think I have found one (http://www.elmersaquarium.com/10fidderlercrab.htm)

First, I'd like to know what you think the minimum sized cage should be.

Now I know that the temperature should be between 75-85 degrees, but how do I obtain this? Could I use a heat lamp, or does the water and land need to be at that temp? Also, could I use aquarium pH up/down to make the water a pH of 8.0-8.2? If I need to know anything else, please let me know.

Sorry about all the questions, but I'd like to help out these parents the best I can. I don't want all these fiddler crabs to dies becuase no one knows what their doing! Thanks!
