My cat acts very strange at random moments. He will look at something that he has seen a million times, such as my bed, and be very scared of it. He will look jump backwards or jump about 3 feet in the air on all fours and then repeat the process a few times. He really gets scared if I touch him or move he will totally spaz out. Could he have an eyesight problem, be retarded, or just be a weird little dude?

Sounds like he needs reassuring now and then.
Look on the bright side--at least his idiosyncracies are entertaining. I have seen cats that put poo in strange places, or wail for hours.

Since you said he was a "little dude" I assume this is a kitten. Many cats act this strange for a long time because they have been taken out of an environment they are used to. You know what your bed is, but the cat does not. It is possible that a bed that is made looks different to him than if it wasn't. Any change in the way the bed looks makes him think something is different about it.
It is also possible that he has had some kind of trauma before you got him. It takes a long time for them to get over something like this. When he goes through these "fits" and you try to touch him, it could be that he sees that as a threat for some reason. Work with him and talk to him during these times before trying to touch him. Also, when you can, touch him as much as he will let you. This will instill a sense of trust and perhaps eventually when he is going through one of his "times", your touch will then comfort him.

Some cats just like to entertain themselves.
Everyone who owns a cat know they dream, they have probably heard their cat growl or purr loudly in their sleep. So why can't they daydream or create imaginary play mates and objects.
The fact that he repeats the process probably means that he is not truly scared, since most cats who are genuienly scared will only jump once, they usually run away or occasionally freeze.
The spazing out when you touch him or move suddenly is most likey because he got so focused on what he was doing he did not see you approaching him. I once scared my cat half to death when she was so focused on a bird that was outside the window she did not see me coming.
So just let him have his fun, and have fun watching him.

Did you adopt him? Because maybe if he lived with another family they did not allow him on the bed and hes wondering if its ok for him to do it here. He could have been abused or hit when he went near stuff. My cousin has a dog that she rescued she has had her for almost 6 years and she is just now starting to come around to people we think she was abused before we found her. Anmials remember things that may have harmed them.

My cat is a little bit odd too. Whenever she comes in from outside at night she comes in my room, in the light, and her eyes are still fully dialated and she runs around the room at breakneck speed and tries to attack me, so i leave her in there for like 30 min or so and I come back later and she is relaxing on my bed, all better. So your cat may just be hyperactive and needing to run around a little bit.

The cat is normal. Some cats just look like they're possessed. It's one of their endearing qualities.
I had a cat just like that - who used to tear around the house at odd moments, then run around the top of a doorway and just hang there on the side and look at me.

Have you ever thought that the cat is seeing a spirit or ghost of some sort? Cats and Dogs can see things we cannot, and they are also familiars!

I don't know for sure, it might not be totally serious, he may just be going through a phase... but you may want to get him checked out anyway, you can never be too sure.
