im not used to the groomers so im not sure what to expect but they messed up my dogs haircut and they left 2 big gashes or wounds behind her right ear.. and i assume its a clipper or razer burn .. also i think they mistreated her because when i first tried to pick her up to take her home she wouldnt let me pick her and she tried biting people.. she seemed soo scared.. is this normal? should i make a complaint ?

That is sooooo totally not right! I would definately complain, i would get my money back, and i would darn well NEVER go back there again. Your dog will chill out over time, but you might have a reeeeeal hard time when you bring her to the next groomer. make sure you when you call to scheduel an appointment you let them know what happened. some groomers will have you bring your dog in a couple weeks in advance and give them a treat or two to help the dog think of their place as a happy one. the other thing i would do is tell everyone i know with a dog about that place that hurt your dog. dont want that happening to anyone elses babies either.

No its not normal and yes make a complaint. No good groomer will every hurt a dog in any way. They are supposed to be kind and experienced in what they are doing.
Did they tell you that they nicked your dog and did they show you where?? Did they try to explain the injuries your dog received? If the answers are no then make a complaint and let others know that these groomers are not trust worthy.

First of all, gashes and wounds shouldn't be there. And she shouldn't be scared and You basically paid for them to hurt your dog. Your baby. You have every right to complain, but make sure you get your facts straight. Get the name of the groomer, the time of day, the length of time it took, take pictures if you can, ect. I would try to make sure that their boss knows, and their boss, all the way up the ladder. Good luck.

yes you should make a complaint.
I have been grooming for 20+ years and nnever had any problems. if you can take her to the vets to get it treated and have documantation for anyhing.
Some people think they can just pick up a book and clippers and do whatever.
I went to school t learn how to groom dogs and cats.
Well Good Luck with her and hope everything works out for you

Did you not complain as soon as you retrieved the animal? Why would you wait if you noticed wounds and/or trauma? Did you pay the groomer? I certainly wouldn't have.

no it is not normal. did the shop owner do the grooming? other than the state licensing board there is no one to complain to. now if it was somewhere like PetSmart I'd talk to the mgr.

I would find a small shop to go to
