Do you think a hamster is allowed to eat raisins? Aren't they too sugary and salty? The pet store guy said it was allowed but I don't want my hamster getting sick. :( What is your opinion or actual facts about this?

theres is loads of people giving rotties and pittbulls bad names on here it makes me mad that there is alot of people who hate these dogs well do you now what you are all wrong its the owners who bring them up they have made a bad name for them thats why they have got a bad rep now, i have a male rottie and a female pittbull, and they are the most gentle dogs i have ever seen they both protect me and my 3 year old daughter. they have the bad rep because the owners are bringing them up to fight with other pitts etc they build there muscles up with streoids which is wrong and now it is unfair to the really good owners who want to keep there loving pets you shouldnt go off the news and the papers about these dogs because they make everything sound worse than what it really is i just want to get my point across to those who are bad mouthing these to dogs they are the most inteligent animals and i wouldnt get rid of mind my little girl loves her to dogs thanks for reading

I took in two dogs last winter because they were newborn puppies, born to a dog kept outside. They were about to face a severe freeze and snow storm and I couldnt bare for the poor things to be out in the cold. I kept them in my house but was unable to house train them since I have never had a dog in the house before. I cant really afford obedience school or any thing like that to help me train them either. I lost my job about a year ago so things are tight since, and I have a 4 year old daughter too and she comes first. I love the dogs, I really do, but my husband isnt too fond of them messing in the house, and it isnt at all sanitary for my daughter. So since the weather started to get nice I put the dogs outside. They have dog houses and always have cool water and food, and are really happy to be out in the yard with room to play. I invite them in the house and they wont come in. The problem, now summers comming its starting to get really hot and I dont want them to suffer the heat.

Ok these details are long. But bear with me? =D

I got him yesterday and we've tried giving him a little meat shredded to an almost puree with lots of water mixed in it. He doesn't eat it.
He also happens to quite weak. He was the smallest of the litter.

Oh another thing, I already have a white tom cat and he has always had the tendency to bite and can be violent when crossed. Is he a threat to the kitten? They happen to be brothers as they come from the same mother.
Is there no genetic bond that will make them love each other...? eh? =D

I am thinking of ordering a betta from bettatalk.com, i would split a turquoise pair and only get the male, it's 50.00 $ for the pair and which in turn if i got the male im hopping it would go down to maybe 25 or 30? does that sound like too much or is it just me being cheap! oh and also on betta talk they say it takes about 380 $ to breed bettas is that true because if it is im not breeding them.

He is a 3 year old blue dobie named jackson. I have tried attacking chicken wire to the fence to make it too wobbly to climb-didnt work! I need to know a way to keep him in the yard because we raise free ranging chickens and hes started killing them so he needs to be in the back yard unless we are outside with him. Any ideas-with out spending a couple hundred bucks?

so I had to leave my kitten at the vet today to get neutered. A friend of mine told me that he is going to be different when I get him back. Is that true? Because he is pretty much the most affectionate cat ever and I don't want that to change.

I do not do full water changes but once a year and I just did it 2 weeks ago. Now, already the water looks like swamp water. It is all green and cloudy looking. I have two Algae eaters in there because it is a big tank and there is an angel fish, beta fish, and a bubble eyed goldfish. I have tried all kinds of stuff and spent about 50.00 on chemicals. I am going crazy. Also, are you suppose to turn off the tank light every night or could this bee the cause of some of the greenish water?? Please help. any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

My chcolate lab is almost 5mo and is getting spayed tomorrow morning. I just talked to the vet and they said no food after midnight and just a little bit of water in the morning.

What other questions should I ask? I am nervous-although I know its routine and that she will be fine. I don't want to sound like a crazy over protective pet-parent! But any suggestions on what you would ask them??

Like types of antheshia? I dont know. I feel like I don't know enough about the procedure to even ask the right questions, am I being too trusting of the vets in the assumption that they will do a great job?

Ok, heres the deal, my cat is way old, she is an outdoor cat and she crys and "welps" all night long it sounds like she is dieing out there. When I come out side to see what is going on she is fine and stops the welping. Its so bad my neighbors are calling. She seems to be in good health it seems to be for attention. however I play with her all the time and as soon as were done and i get into bed the welping starts. PLEASE HELP

hi, the time has come to clean my fish tank D:
i dont mean a simple water change but cleaning the tank itself since the tank has small amounts of this brown "thing"
so whats the easiest way to clean a 20 gallon without lifting the tank? (its wayyy to heavy)

i dont want to remove the fish cuz the loaches are impossible to catch....

-btw, the loaches still hide the only time i see them active is at night. but they run away when they see something move outside of the tank.
and i got them a while ago now.
