Do you think a hamster is allowed to eat raisins? Aren't they too sugary and salty? The pet store guy said it was allowed but I don't want my hamster getting sick. :( What is your opinion or actual facts about this?

He he... that sounds cute. Anyway, it should be okay. It's only fruit and there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, raisins are probably a great fruit to feed hamsters because they don't have much moisture and wont give the hamster diarhea. Don't give the raisins as the primary food source, mix them in with other food or give them as a treat. And only give the hamster plain raisins, not once with extra sugar or salt (?).

Should be okay, I used to feed mine grapes and raisins. I just wouldn't over do it since they are high in sugar- make it like a treat rather than a main course.

Its just dried grapes, theres no danger. It might give him the squirts, so only in moderation. My pet skunk loves them, but I only give her like 6-8 a day.
