Ok, heres the deal, my cat is way old, she is an outdoor cat and she crys and "welps" all night long it sounds like she is dieing out there. When I come out side to see what is going on she is fine and stops the welping. Its so bad my neighbors are calling. She seems to be in good health it seems to be for attention. however I play with her all the time and as soon as were done and i get into bed the welping starts. PLEASE HELP

Our 15 year old SHD did the same thing shortly before she passed away. She appeared to be in good health as well, but when we took her to the vet she was in vascular collapse. Our vet suggested that she was becoming "altered" , which is a term medically applied to dementia in the elderly. You need to get your old girl to a vet. It may be time to do the most loving thing you can do and let her go.

1. Spay her
2. Feed her a lot before you go to sleep
3. Play with her a lot in the evening, so that she is tired at night.
4. Let her in the house.I think this will be best for both of you. Keep a cat door, so that she can get in and out. You'll soon love having her around.

Is the cat spayed? Sounds like she needs to visit the vet...they dont; cry like that unless 1) They're in heat 2) They're in pain

i have 6 cats........ >^..^<

Idiot let the cat in the house at night. Cats start losing their hearing when they get old. They seem to get fearful too.

It sounds very much like she is in heat, in which case you shouldn't allow her out until it's passed, unless you want her to get pregnant!

Maybe you need to move her inside.
I would take her to the vet and let him check her over. She might be hurt. You may be missing something.
