Try a large stainless steel bowl for a water dish, even put some ice in his water. He may just like how cold the water is in the toilet. Be sure to close the lid to the toilet until he breaks that habit.

You are not gonna get this dog to stop drinking from the toilet lol. It's a natural thing for dogs to do. Just keep your lid down or your door closed is all you can do lol. Good Luck!!!

Dog's like the toilet water because it's fresh and cool due to the porcelain of the toilet bowl. You could get one of those water fountains, that offer your dog moving, filtered water, but they can be expensive.
Best thing to do, really, is just keep the lid down.

this is an easy one... close the lid... there's an added plus too, if you close the lid before you flush then you're poopies and peepees stay in the toilet... saw it on mythbusters & today show.. if your dog is really smart & knows how to open the toilet himself then get one of the child safety things for the toilet. they keep it closed so kids can't get in there... oh & also keep the bathroom door closed

Keep your lid down or the bathroom door shut. It is just natural that they want cool water, the porcelain keeps the water cool.

Shut the bathroom door. Our dogs are not allowed in the bathroom except when we are in there. There are too many chemicals, the garbage can, etc things they do not need to get into.
