The vet said the initial exam looked fine, just check to see if she's eating, vomiting, or has diarea. She's about 4 years old, gold lab. Over the past few months she's lost a lot of weight, has no energy, and is very lethargic. The vet said that signs like these are a sign of a tumor but that's more common in older dogs. Does anyone know what's wrong with my Daisy baby? :(

I want to find some reptiles but I never can find any. I live in Texas and there is a creek by our house that me and my friends like to go exploring in but we never find anything.

On Friday (6/15) my mom is taking our dog into the vet to put him down, it's a long story, my mom and i are really sad about this and we do not know what to tell my 4 year old sister. She does not really get the meaning of dead. We do not want to say that died at the vet b/c she might think vets are really bad.
P.S. i have had this dog for the majority of my life and my sister has been around him her entire life!

If you have any ideas what to tell her please tell me!
Thank You

He is a large breed dog, and he chewed his fur off the paw. I looked at it and didnt see anything.

Please no answers with take him to the vet, I was just wondering if there is a common problem with their paws.

I've helped take care of my aunt's dog and I helped potty train it, so I have that part down but, what food, what toys, what to get, there are so many choices and it's so hard to decide!

I have an Akita, which we got last summer. Over the winter she shed excessively. It was a nightmare, with clumps of hair all over the house. We had hair all over EVERYTHING, including ourselves and was so HARD to clean up. Now she's starting to shed again. Is there something we can do to minimize her shedding? My fiance doesn't want to keep her outside. Help!

We found her and her brother on Memorial day at a cemetary in the country. So haven't had them but a few weeks. The little girl we named Lady and had her spayed on the 9th. She is on a long chain in the shade , well both are.....but my problem is that she gets very excited wheither I am trying to feed her or if I am just wanting to pet her. She jumps up and down gets the chain wrapped around my legs and I've got arthritis bad and can't move as well. If I pick her up she is like holding on to a wiggly fish and pee's on herself and you if not carefull. How do I train her to not jump up and down on me and wrap her chain around me. I want only good humane answers please I don't believe in hitting.

We've had Dodger for 2 weeks. We keep him in my husbands home office, because my husband works from home and it gives Dodger company. Dodger is crated when he sleeps in the day and is out of his crate but confined to the room when he's not sleeping. That bit is going well. We've had few accidents in the room.

At night, Dodger goes to sleep around 11 and wakes up at 5 or 6 am, when we take him outside to pee. We *thought* things were going fine until this morning, when I put my head way inside the crate, I noticed he'd been peeing in the back of his crate!

I don't understand because he's really never been left alone in the house and we don't confine him to it for a long stretch, other than the 6-hour stretch at night.

Is there a way to remedy this and to stop him from eliminating in the crate?

My cat attacked this poor little baby crow, it was so scarred i had to try and help it. So i took it in a blanket and put it in a box with a dish of water and some seeds....gave it a little worm last night when i found it. I dont think his wing is broken just hurt, because yesterday when i was seeing if he was ok he kept hoping away and trying to hide in the corner. Though his wings today are both at his sides, and not sticking out like it was yesterday. Since I dont think it is broken i was just wondering how long you might think it will take to heal. I put some blueberries and a stip of processed meat in there too cuz i couldnt find any worms. any advice on what i should do. I know his wing was hurt because he wouldnt fly away when i kept walking up to him. so can anyone help me? i just want him to be better so i can release him asap

Okay, yesterday I went to walmart and browsed their fish like I always do. I know it is not wise to buy fish from there.. Anyways, I saw this fish that looked like a rainbow shark except its body was midnight black and it had silver/grey colored fins and tail. There was close to 10 in one tank, and they were with peppered and bronze corydoras. There also in that same tank was another type of shark. It was pure black. It had a black body, fins, everything. The only one in the tank. The stickers above the tank were RAINBOW SHARK, RUBY RED SHARK, ASSORTED CORYDORAS. Anyone know what type of shark catfish these fish are? If so, could I ever put them in a 29 gallon?
Thanks So Much!!!!!!

Dogs are not to eat chocolate, but i've noticed that there are less and less cases of dog deaths(and harms) by chocolate as the years go by. Are dogs adapting to chocolate? What is your opinion.

I have a new puppy. I am not sure how old it is since I found it lying in the grass at my house. I decided to try to keep him as my pet. I have been feeding him milk (cow's) and bread, but I have seen where it says not to feed him cow's milk. He has threw up 3 times in the past 2 days. The 1st two times he did it was a clear liquid with a lil bit of white stuff in it. This time you could clearly tell that it was the milk and bread. What should I fed him, is he to young to eat regular puppy food? If not what type of food should I buy for him?? Any help will be appreciated!! Thanks ahead of time.

My brother's cat had a litter of 5 kittens and 3 of them have an extra toe on each foot. They are SO ADORABLE! The one I am thinking of taking looks like he as a camel hoof instead of a paw from the top.

Anyhow, I was thinking of something like Cletis or Jimmy Ray or Billy Joe Bob since he looks like an inbred hillbilly. Or Sexto, to better match his future siblings Ernesto and Calabaza.

What are some more names? They don't have to be hick names. He's sort of a black tabby, you can see his stripes in the light and he has brown eyes.

Everytime my family and I see our male cat(Sherbert) eating some time of ribbon. I heard we're not suppose to let cats eat ribbon. So we put them up on the top shelf of our closet. Now everyday, he tries to get up to the top shelf to try and eat more ribbon. How do I make him stop?
It use to be he'll just play with them. Like at christmas time, he'll play with the ribbon wrapped around the present. But now, it's eating it. Should I maybe contact my vet?
