We are thinking of having a chameleon in the office..as someone we know cannot look after it anymore. Is it possible to feed it lots on friday and leave it over the weekend, then feed it on monday? Or do they need to eat everyday?

Is it how their paws are structured, giving cats the same ability to safely absorb shock when landing jumps from tall places?

bonus question? are they really massaging you or is that some kind of paw excercise akin to working out on a scratchpost?

He seems to think she is there to mate with and wont leave her back end alone. Is there anything we can do to stop this, we dont relly want to get him done as he has bad hits so dont want him to put weight on.

I think the momma cat just hasen't taken care of it. All the pet stores are closed (it's late) and I was just wondering if there was anything at home I could use to feed him with. Any help would be great.

My cat is about 6 months, and she just lost one of her front incisors while we were playing. Since she bit me when it came out, I noticed she is bleeding a little bit. Is there anything that I can do for her ... she doesn't appear to be in pain, but she's a little freaked out and I can't tell if the bleeding is going to be awhile. Any help would be great, thank you advance.

I know this might be a stupid question but I just want to ask before I Take my dog with me to my moms. She has a pool and I had an older big dog it was a lab. WEll it used to go swimming with us when he was alive. and it never hurt him or anything . but I now own a small shi pom...half shitzu and half pomeranian. And I wanted to make sure that the chemicals wont hurt her or her skin since she is smaller. I just want to know if I need to leave her in the house while we swim.

My cat is pregnant and is in the end of the 6th week. Or at least thats what I calculated. She is more of a tiny frame cat (Tiny Bombay *Survivour*) Though her age is estimated at about a year due to heat cycles. I've had her for a month and a half as I rescued her. I have been noticing her temperment changing (Very Very Affectionate, Extrmely talkative, following me EVERYWHERE in the house, Being needy and crying for attention etc) And I know that is apart of the mothering process. I have noticed though that one time her Mucos was a tinge red..Not much very very diluted and i wanted to know if that is normal. she has been fine though. I know they clean the musos often and even more so the closer they get if im not mistaken. But I was wondering what was up with this and if i should worry. I havent seen it again though I have been seeing wet mucos spots around on fabric but its not staining like blood. Is she going to be ok? She sleeps on her side with nipple showing which are erect.

Hi kitten gurus!
My husband and I are first-time kitten owners, and received our new kitties from the rescue org two days ago. They are litter trained and surprisingly well-mannered already. They already come to sleep in my lap. However, I have major problem playing with one of them because I'm not so sure about her intentions. Basically, the yet to be named cat will snuggle on my lap, recognizes my smell, and generally likes me. However, she keeps trying to grab my fingers and bring them toward her mouth. Then I always put her down far away, because I'm afraid that she's trying to bite me. Do kittens bite even when they're not upset? Is it possible that she is just trying to lick me when she pulls my finger to her mouth? She doesn't seem upset while she's doing this and is usually just sitting in my lap when she does this. I always pull my finger away, because I don't want to take a chance with those sharp teeth! Thanks!

So I have finally saved up enough money to upgrade to a larger tank. I was thinkng about somewhere in the range of 30 to 50 gallons, haven't shopped around yet, but that's what I am thinking. My problem is this: How do I acclimate my fish in my old tank to the new one for transfering? I don't want to leave them in the old tank and start new, so thats kinda out of the question. Also, when I do get the larger tank, is it okay to fill it with tap water *becasue I am not going to buy 30 to 40 gallon water jugs* and add a dechlorinator, such as stress coat? I am not too new to keeping aquariums, but still, better ask first, then be sorry for not asking later! One more question; how long does stress coat take to make tap water safe? Thanks!

So this morning my smallest 3 spot domino damsel died and had white slimey stuff on him. he was getting beaten by my 3 stripe damsel so i asumed it was just stress. Now i noticed a little bit of white on my other 3spot domino damsels mouth. i have live rock with some featherdusters that are starting to appear as well as some hermit crabs. how do i go about treating this without killing my inverts? the other damsel with the white on his mouth also gets beat up by the 3 stripe damsel is this disease or just stress?

They look like a mini starfish. Every one of them have 5 "arms", some shorter than others, but never more or less. Kind of an off white color. They are attached to the side of the tank. Sometimes I see them on snail shells. I can't see them travel, but they must move because they will be there once & then a few hour later, they're gone.

I do have a large starfish in the tank. Could it be reproducing? My only other (doubtful) thought is maybe it's coral. The tank is not equiped with proper lighting for coral, but we have some live rock that came with some coral (It doesn't seem to be thriving without the lighting).

Any ideas? Thanks!

I've tried adding vitamins in the form of syrups which is suppose to whelps her appetite but she's not taking it either.

She is having a cough when we brought her home and the vet says it's not serious yet. The cough doesn't seems to go away. What should I do?

I have read many articles saying parrotlets have LARGE appitites and they can eat up to a cup or two of bird fooI was excited that I would be able to feed pellets without protest from the bird.
