my labrador is not drinking that much water
he only drinks after a lot of running
he drinks about 2-3 times a day only and its summer
is this enough, if not what should i do?

he will drink when he is thirsty, trust me my lab is the same

Is this a new habit? That is, did he used to drink more water, and now is drinking less? If so, absolutely go to the vet. Some things to mention to your doctor are how long this has been going on, if your dog got into anything strange lately, or if you have changed his feed.

My pit bull is the same way. He only drinks once or twice a day, I always keep fresh water available for him.

My dogs do the same things and they are perfectly healthy you should be alarmed when they don't drink any.Make sure the gums aren't white if so rush to vet

Just be sure he has a big bowl of clean water available when he wants it. He will drink when hes thirsty.

Just provide clean fresh water at all times and he will help himself. Keep him where he has shade available so he won't get overheated.

dogs drink water when your not paying attention i have to black labs.......dogs pant to cool off there dont drink as much water as you think

if he is not displaying signs of dehydration, then he is hydrated enough. animals aren't like humans in the daily water requirement.

its fine if he's getting the right nutrition... if he's eating right and exercising then its fine nothing to worry about
