i would like to know which pet between: cats, dogs, ferrets and other animals are in peoples houses most.

We've had just about every variety of in-house pet out there in our home at some point in time. As of this moment, we have 2 beautiful kitties and 4 ferrets that split time between us and our mom. We've owned 3 dogs before, but found that a dog is more suited to outside in our situation. I've had a total of 4 hamsters, 8 white mice, 16 cats, 7 dogs, 5 ferrets, 1 snake, and 1 hedgehog over the course of my life. I much prefer my cats and ferrets over all of the above! :)

I would have to say dogs. Most of my friends are dog people, and very few like or own a cat.

It used to be dogs were the most popular pets, but I think cats have taken the lead now.

i would say dogs, but alot of people own cats, not because they choose to, sometimes people dont take care of their cats, like spaying and nuetering them, and they let the population get out of hand. It's common among elderly that cannot take care of themselves let alone cats. And I'm not saying people dont choose to own cats.
